What is the nature of the defect? Possible debug messages on first time gathering: "Player is nil" "TradeID is nil"
What (if anything) triggers the defect? Switched to a new toon using GW for the first time. Every time I hit a node (herb in this case), I kept receiving these printouts. Messages went away after opening the GUI and closing it.
yeah, there's something triggering some code that doesn't expect to be executed without the gui being opened. i'll track it down.
happening every time something moves in the inventory, just drag an item from one slot to another to test
still happening in r62
rats. does it go away after you open and close gw?
it does
Happens on me too, but only to the toon with no skills. My level 1 banker. All others cleared when I opened and closed gw once. It occurred to me later (now) that the Level 1 bank toon can't clear it because the poor girl doesn't have any professions...
This started for me when I entered ICC last night. I didn't want to deal with it at the time, so I guessed it was GW doing it and just disabled GW. Today, I reenabled it while not in raid or ICC and it started up after a little while and stopped after a while (the whole time I was hovering in Icecrown outside ICC). No idea what triggered it nor what stopped it.
Edit: Just saw lilsparky's post in comments about opening and closing the UI to stop it and that's probably what I did that made it stop. I still don't know what made it start though.
I noticed this issue tonight in ICC. Didn't know it was GW until I googled the message text. Seemed to start as soon as I logged in. Opening and closing the GUI didn't seem to have any effect.
okay, i think i got this one fixed for real this time....
no messages on inv moving, before, during, or after opening window, looks fine
