Thanks Sthaagg, I will ahve to check it out. The special thing about AuldLangSyne though is the fact that it not only listed your friends AND your guild but it had a seperate window for your RealID friends. Does this replacement have that as well? Cheers!
An update for this mod would be greatly appreciated. Especially since they have change where the guild tab is and such I really really miss this mod. Please sometime before Cata comes out, please please please!
I too miss the synched friends and notes features of ALS. TitanPanel does indeed support LDB addons so ALS only needs to include LDB support. Still hoping that will be included as part of the rewrite!
Uhhh, Broker SocialState looks good, it has what I miss most when ALS isn't updated, Friends and guild in one tooltip. But I would miss my synched friends and this great addon. :)
(BTW: Titanpanel can use LDB addons as well as far as I know...)
Thanks for the suggestions stencil and jakob42, after further research I've decided to go with an LDB display instead of Titan and have settled on Bazooka. I think Broker SocialState is the closest I can find to an ALS replacement, but I'd much prefer seeing LDB support being added to ALS.
Grizzly - even if it remained FuBar plugin you would probably be able to use FuBar2Broker to stick it into Titan. With the patch I've moved on from FuBar as well (using Bazooka) so while I'd also like to see it written for LDB natively we probably have options. There's also a Broker2FuBar for those who want to host an LDB addon in FuBar.
Shefki - I'm glad to hear that this will be updated. That I'm missing it so much right now is just proof of how good it is. One of the things I really like about it that it had the guild info from both panes in one display, so I could see things like stauts (afk).
Its probably not smart of me to add to any delay by asking for new features, but ... there's nothing worse in the game than logging in and having the game tell you that it removed someone from your friends list without saying who it is. Since there's been a feature for keeping the friends list synched across toons, it would be great if it could alert us which character names have been removed by the game from the friends list as well as those that maybe have changed their names.
Will the rewrite include LibDataBroker / Titan support? I (and my friends) really like ALS but we're looking at swapping from FuBar to Titan and we'd like to continue using ALS if possible.
Anyone have a recommendation for an alternative to this addon while Shefki is busy? I'm particularly interested in something that can plug into FuBar (directly or via Fortress/Broker) that lists guild members currently online. Bonus points if names can be interacted with, as it could in ALS, to do invites.
Not likely to be updated for 4.0.x before 4.0.1 hits. Needs to be rewritten and I was working with only slightly over a month timeframe. This addon drew the short straw. Will be rewritten sometime after 4.0.1 hits.
I really appreciate your hard work. I love this addon as it's the only one that shows all the info in a great interface. I'm looking forward to your new version.
