I've been waiting some time for Bartender4 to implement the feature on their todo list: to control the hiding of Blizzard's artwork. I'd like to use Bartender but without the framework for my bars it feels too empty for me. It so happens that I saw another addon yesterday that actually halved the artwork to include only one action bar and I kind of liked that as well. But it was far too inflexible.
So, I got inspired and got coding (and designing, and pixel-staring). Included you'll find a new bar for Bartender. It holds nothing but configurable art based on Blizzard's original frame for the actions bars.
Options:- Both endings (left and right) are independently configurable to be a griffin, a lion or not to be at all.- The background on the empty button slots is configurable to be a griffin or a lion.- Three modes:-- Classical : I guess we all know how it looks (... can you remember?)-- Two bars : The classical look, but with the micro menu and the bag bar replaced by an extra action bar-- One bar : Just the action bar, the micro menu and bag bar have been cut away (and the frame is thus half width)
I hope it can be included! It would be nice if others could profit from my work.
About the uploaded files:- classic.jpg : If you look closely you'll see it's actually not the native UI, but Bartender- BlizzardArt.lua : The small file contains the options dialog (goes into Options), the other contains the bar itself (goes into the root).
To get it working all that needs updating is Bartender4.toc and Options/Options.xml.
Looks like I forgot to mention it here. So let's be complete: the repository blizzardart is actually Bartender + this patch + default settings. So no need to manually incorporate these files.
I'll finally integrate this into Bartender itself. Will be for 4.5.0
I merged this today.
