Keybinds highlight abilities on the Pet Bar when clicked but no actions occur since latest patch. Pet attack/Pet Follow/etc...

The exact same thing is happening to me the add-on is interfering with the pet action bar not allowing key binds to work

Same issue. Pet commands (such as petattack) work when clicked, but do NOT work when attempting to use a hotkey (ctrl+1, ctrl+2, etc.). As OP stated, using a hotkey will highlight the ability/action but won't actually do anything.

I've noticed a few things with this bug. The buttons work on a button-release action mechanic. If you CTRL + 1 for example (default petAttack) the button will highlight as if being both moused over AND pressed. However, the pet will not budge,  meaning it's detecting a selection, but not the button release. If you manually click the button, for me at least, the button works. I've also noticed that if I change the hotkey to something like "X" for example, it works fine as well. The problem seems to be coming from key combinations. If I press "CTRL + 1", and then release "CTRL" before releasing "1", it won't work. But if I release "1" before I release "CTRL" it works without issue. Because of my muscle memory over all these years playing lock and hunter I just can't get the hang of switching my button presses like that so I've got them bound to other single hotkeys until this is fixed. Hope that helps people. Was hoping this would get fixed before my Uld raid tonight but I guess no luck on that front.

i am facing same issue. on wotlk . I was able to further debug it and i see the problem:

 the keybinding works IF CTRL and 1 are released the same time.

clicking on  "toggle actions on key press instead of release" will make the pet keybindings work only if you press them together at the same time.

this is happening only at the pet bar: if i rebind - for example - my action bar to CTRL+4 instead of 4 the behavior is the old one: button is pushed if i press / release first CTRL and then 4, if i press / release first 4 and then CTRL, or if i press / release them together at the same time .

Keybindings and execution of the buttons are managed by Blizzard, since it requires secure functionality. Addons have no influence on when and how the execution works.

It sounds to me like Blizzard screwed up handling of keybindings with modifiers, in particular when that modifier is CTRL which is usually the "pickup action" modifier.

i am not sure what is going on but the issue can be easily tested with a hunter or lock:

"toggle actions on key press instead of release" is off / unchecked and bt4 addon is on

test performed : target an enemy and press attack-pet action

CTRL + 1 : works only if CTRL and 1 are released at the same time

change keybinding to 4: works as intended

change keybinding to ALT+1: works only if ALT and 1 are released at the same time

change keybinding to SHIFT+1: works only if works only if SHIFT and 1 are released at the same time

change keybinding to SHIFT+1 in bt4 keybinding section: works only if works only if SHIFT and 1 are released at the same time

when bt4 is disabled:

CTRL + 1 : works by pressing and releasing CTRL and 1 at the same time or at different times.

The same issue.

No, you install any hotkey on the pet panel, and the behavior is the same, the key is highlighted, but does not work.

Earlier, by the way, there was also such a bug, but it somehow quickly passed. Nothing helps now...

Seems to be working fine again now. Not sure if something changed on Blizzards side or with Bartender.

Not working as of this morning. I tried different key bindings for my pet and had no luck. 

If I turn off bartender, my key bindings on the pet bar seem to work fine.  Not sure what is going on, but sure would like a fix. It sure is a lot harder to play as a hunter without the setup.
