Bars still not working. Is there gonna be an update?

Installing the libactionbutton-1.0 files as instructed worked for me, with 1 caveat. I use Curseforge through Overwolf....yeah, I know, not the best way, but it works ok for me. When I looked, the Bartender folder already had a folder for libactionbutton-1.0. It had the lua and one other file. I checked curseforge, and it didn't show libactionbutton-1.0 installed. So, I searched for it, and "installed" it via curseforge. Didn't work. So I did a MANUAL download of libactionbutton-1.0, unzipped it, and compared. The manual download has more, including subfolders. So I copied that entire folder (basically replacing the libactionbutton-1.0 in the bartender4 folder, and viola. My buttons work again.

Lesson? Don't trust something like curseforge to install this. Go to the link above, do a manual download, unzip, and manually put the folder contents into bartender4 directory as minniegarfeeld says.

That didnt work for me. I dont get it.

This is the folder you need to find on your PC, where you have WoW installed:

World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\Bartender4\libs

Download the addon linked above, LibActionButton-1.0. Manual download. It's a zip file. Download and unzip it. After unzipping, you have a folder inside the folder you just unzipped called LibActionButton-1.0.

Copy that folder into World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\Bartender4\libs

so you then have a folder World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\Bartender4\libs\LibActionButton-1.0

That should do it.

That doesn't work sadly.

Just for the sake of it. I redid the install, and it works, but my action bars are gone. and I can't seem to get them back in the B4 settings.

Kpxt. Hmm. I didn't have that problem, my action bars all stayed the same. I bet the "reinstall" erased your settings. Did you save a profile? If so, check and load your saved profile. If you didn't, you probably have to redo everything, and then make sure and save a profile.

Couldn't even do that if I wanted to. the general settings menu is blank lol. Something isn't play nice with something else.

edit: one other thing...I noticed some menus acting up, like profession windows (crafting). Using /reload to reload the addons / menu seems to reset things

Kpxt long shot, did you make a backup of the addons folder by chance? If so, just copy all that back in (to sort of start from scratch before you fiddled with it), then try making a profile, THEN go reinstall again (since you said a reinstall sorta worked) and then maybe everything comes back, when you reload the profile you created before the reinstall. It's a long shot.

I'm one of those weird people who tends to make backup folders of stuff like this, learned that from doing mods in things like Digitial Combat Simulator, and having many, many problems with flight controller profiles.
