Bazooka

Table of Contents

Bazooka is a Data Broker Display similar in functionality and looks to FuBar.

Feature highlights

Top/Bottom alignment or free moving of bars.
Left-click drag moves, alt-right-click drag resizes the bar (unless the frames are locked).
Drag-and-drop plugin placement with highlighted drop positions.
Configurable background / font / icon size.
The usual options for data broker displays (show text/icon/label, optionally show title in place of label if it's missing).
Support of iconCoords and icon[RGB] (TomTom arrow, for example).
Left / Center-Left / Center / Center-Right / Right placement position for plugins within bars, allowing easy layout of plugins. Plugins placed in the Center area are centered as a bunch.
Optional auto-fade while in combat / out of combat.
Optionally disable mouse / tooltips.
Optional simple tooltips (just show title if Alt is held while moving the mouse pointer over the plugin).
Optional highlight on mouseover for the active plugin.
Load-on-demand configuration options, small memory footprint for "standard" operation.
Bulk mode configuration that allows configuring multiple bars/plugins easily.
Restrict plugin text width
Disable minimap icons
Tooltip scale override
Support for OnMouseWheel, OnReceiveDrag and OnDoubleClick script handlers for plugins
Optionally override plugin defined text colors

Usage

Getting started

Create new bars from the main options window
Drag plugins to desired location
Drag plugins off bars to disable them
Dragging bars while holding Alt will change their attached/detached state. Otherwise top/bottom bars will snap back to top or bottom depending on where you drop them.

Using the bulk configuration (standard method)

Uncheck Auto-apply.
Check the bars/plugins you want the settings to apply to.
Check Apply next to the settings you want to change, and set them to the value you need.
Click Apply at the bottom of the options. The changes you selected will be applied to all selected bars/plugins at this point.

Using the bulk configuration (auto-apply method)

Check Auto-apply.
Check the bars/plugins you want the settings to apply to.
Change the settings (or click the Apply text next to them if their current value is the one you want). The changes will be applied immediately to all selected bars/plugins.

Slash commands

/bazooka: Open configuration.
/bazooka locked: Toggle locked/unlocked state.
/bazooka hidebars: Make the bars hidden. If no bar numbers are specified, then it works on the marked bars (see bar options).
/bazooka showbars: Make the bars visible. If no bar numbers are specified, then it works on the marked bars (see bar options).
/bazooka togglebars: Toggle hidden/visible state of bars. If no bar numbers are specified, then it works on the marked bars (see bar options).

Just a quick note to say I started searching for a new LDB display while re-doing addons for the patch, and you nailed it with this one. Absolutely the best one for my needs. Great customization, yet every option seems useful. Does its job, does it well. I love that I can have bars anchored or detatched. Highlighting the display that I'm mousing over is a nice touch. And one of the most important: allowing click-through in combat! Yes!

Having a problem, only started up a day or so AFTER the 5.04 patch but its still bugging me, not even sure if its Bazooka doing it but only addon i can think of. My minimap isnt being nudged down like it used to, as i have my bazooka bars at top of screen. So now my minimap is 1/4 hidden behind bazooka instead of nestling comfortably below. Any ideas?

My bars have a giant flouresent green border around them now , and when I goto the bar set up on boarder I have none set , when I switch it to blizzard ach frame and back to none the GIANT flouresent green is back and makes the addon almost unusable. any suggestions?

I find this mod to be absolutely essential and is far better than titan panel.

Any word on an update for MOP beta?

I'm probably missing some setting, but here goes.

I would like to set the pop up tooltips for the plugins to only show if I have a key pressed when I point at them.

For example:

I hold shift and point at SexyReputation to allow the tooltip to display. Otherwise it doesn't display.

Is this already possible and I am just missing the setting? If not is it possible to add this as a feature?

Bazooka is one of my top favorite addons. Keep up the good work!

This feature is not (yet) available. Could you open a ticket about it at http://www.wowace.com/addons/bazooka/tickets/ ?

The simplest way to implement it would be to only show the tooltip if the modifier key (eg. SHIFT) is held at the time you "enter" the plugin area with the mouse pointer (that is,, once you hover over the plugin without pressing SHIFT, the tooltip won't show even if you press SHIFT while staying over the plugin). Is that OK, or you'd need a more sophisticated (but more CPU intensive) approach, where the plugin would be toggled by pressing/releasing SHIFT?

This is exactly what I was looking for. Only show the tip if I enter the plugin area while pushing a modifier key. For any other event don't show it.

Hi,

Don't bother with the ticket (unless you have further issues :)

Try the latest alpha (r225) from wowace. Check out the new "Manual tooltip" plugin option and the "Manual tooltip toggle mode" global option.

(tick "Disable tooltip" and "Manual tooltip" for the plugins you want full-manual tooltip management).

I'll update the docs later with the two new options.

Works like a charm.

Awesome and thanks millions. Good job, as usuall.

FYI, interesting phenominon: Broker_ProfessionsMenu-v2.1.4a shows the TTip even when you have it set to only show with modifier key. Not only that...if you hit the modifier key while pointing at it the TTip goes away. So it appears to be working the opposite. I fooled arround with a few options, but nothing seemed to affect the situation. Not a request for fix, just informing you of the wieredness.

Hello,

Broker_ProfessionsMenu overlays its own SecureButton on top of Bazooka's plugin frame and handles mouse hover itself. Most of the functionality present in Bazooka won't work in this scenario (disabling tooltip, disabling tooltip in combat, etc). I guess Broker_ProferssionsMenu really needs a secure frame for whatever it does, so you'll just have to live with it...

I'm having an odd issue with Broker_Currencyflow and this addon where the tooltip for it won't show up. It showed up on Titan Panel and Bagnon and other addons appear to be showing tooltips fine with Bazooka. It seems to be solely the way these two are interacting. I've checked the plugin page and it doesn't appear I've disable the tooltip somehow so I'm not sure what to look at next.

Could you try installing BugSack or some other bug grabber addon and see if you get any lua errors when you mouse-over the plugin?

No errors, but I gave another addon (StatBlockCore) a try and it appears that it doesn't work with that one either. So it may be Broker_Currencyflow that is at fault.

Not sure how to explain this

The addon displays the money i have. using the Arkinvantory addon.(pushing Esc will bring it up when i go to plugins it shows Arkinvantory_Money).

What i want to do is reset the money that is displayed and not sure if its Arkinvantory or Bazooka that is displaying it and when i check both i cant find where its at.

Hi,
Bazooka only displays the information that the plugins provide, so you'd probably have to reset Arkinventory in some way.

Hello mitch0,
i have a Problem with the actual Version of Bazooka.
I use the same configuration as in this picture:

But the Problem with Bazooka is this Border on the bottom of the page.

I have this Border not, if the addon is disabled.
