This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Hi. I just redownloaded Cartograher and Quest Helper and now when I log on I always get this message and Cartographer doesn't work =/. ANy help would be great!

There's a problem in the instance maps and instance notes, the maps don't work at all now that blizzard made instance maps (and we don't need them to work) and the notes don't work too. Can you make the instance notes work without the maps?

Having problems with my world map. should be able to right or left click to zoom in or out but have been unable to do so for the past couple of days. Tried updating questhelper and cartographer but still no good. Did I miss something? Do I have something set the wrong way? Is this an issue with Cartographer or a problem with the game itself? Need help!!

For the past couple of weeks, I've been unable to see my position or other raid members in Naxx, just boss locations. Tried reverting to previous version & now I cannot access the "look 'n' feel" options to downsize map, transparencies, foglight etc. What am i doing wrong?

In relation to not being able to click anything in dungeons it seems to have some relation to quest helper. I disabled quest helper and was able to right click in dungeons. Could both mods be fighting over the map when you change to dungeon maps?

I've noticed that when Foglight is enabled, the small "zone map" (opened with shift-M, usually used in battlegrounds) loses its map textures and only displays the map base, as though none of the areas had been discovered.

I was able to pin down Foglight as the culprit because the zone map is properly textured after first loading the game/UI, but as soon as Cartographer's map is opened these textures disappear. When the Foglight module is disabled, the textures return to the zonemap.

It seems like Foglight is "stealing" the map jigsaw piece textures from the zonemap. I can post screenshots to clarify if necessary. Hope you're able to fix the issue :)

I have the exact same problem . . . when I open and close the World Map the detail on the small Zone Map in the lower right corner disappears.

Can you add the info not just for fishing but for skinning, and possibly mining. I'm pretty sure there are other addons for that, but they are just not popular enough and well I don't know of them and it just pointless to have 20 addons that do simple things when you can have one good addon that can do the 20 things. Thanks in advance for whatever answer.

Where are the Cartographer notes stored? I kept all my add-ons and did the bliz recommended rebuild (remove the WTF, Cache, and Interface folders then restart Wow) after the last patch and then moved my add-ons back into the add-ons folder; and Gad! all my notes were gone! (along with my QuestGuru quest histories).
There seems to be something rotten in Wowmark.

K, I know this is so studip, but I lost my helpful arrow that shows you where the quest are. Well not exactly lost it, I know where it is. I pulled it below the action bars by mistake while trying to change the screen angle. Anyway, how can I get it back. I've tried everything to drop the action bars and can't figure it out. Pleas help me, lol I love this add-on and want to be able to use all of it.

Hello,

You can try a couple of things. My primary suggestion is "Get Bartender and move the arrow while configuring your bars." However, you can also get an addon called MoveAnything. Yes, it's out of date, but it still works fine. MoveAnything will let you move your action bars and grab the pointer, then put everything back.

Found this problem today after dealing with it for a while not knowing what the problem was. Disabled Cartographer and everything works fine now. This is a great addon, please fix it.

Could i respectfuly ask when the raid/instance drop menu problems is going to get fixed?
I have posted the problem a month ago and there are no developer replyes on it. Whilst cartographer is one of the best map enchanching addons around i will be forced to delete it if this problem doesnt gets sorted out.
