Table of Contents

Chatter is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff, including:

- Hiding buttons
- Custom aliases for channel names
- Coloring of player names by class or deterministic HSV formula, and player levels next to names
- Custom font and font size for your chat frames
- Custom background, border, and positioning for the edit box
- Option to let the edit box border color match the color of the channel you are typing in
- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target
- A module that turns the word "invite" into clickable links that let you invite the speaker.
- Highlights both for custom keywords in specific channels
- Chat fading toggles
- Text justification
- Autologging (Off by default)
- Alt linking
- Much larger and smaller chat frames than default
- A Groupsay (/gr) command to talk to your group, whether that's battleground, raid, or party.

With 4.2, Chatter isnt allowing Battle.net tells to show, only regular tells. Turned it off they show up, turned it on they dont :(

I am currently having a minor problem with the mousewheel scrolling. I have it turned on all the time and occasionally it will just stop working. I can open the options and disable/re-enable it and it works fine. Any idea what might cause this?

Since i've Updated, to the latest Version, i can't see, when Guildmates are comming on, or go off, i can't see what i've rolled /rnd. In the normal options these things are activated, but chatter didn't show me.

I really like this addon, but I do have a couple problems with it that I would love to see addressed. The way the Chat Tabs work now, there are two options. 1, you can use Chatter's chat tabs, which have no border or background and always disappear until moused over. 2, you can turn off Chatter's chat tabs and use the default chat tabs.

Here's my problem. I don't like how Chatter's chat tabs look, so I want to use the default chat tabs. But if I don't use Chatter's chat tabs, I cannot turn off the flashing notification on the tabs, and I hate hate hate the flashing notification (this is why I downloaded this mod in the first place, actually).

I would really appreciate if either an option could be added to configure Chatter's chat tabs to have borders/backgrounds and not disappear (if desired), or to make an option to disable chat tab flashing for the default tabs. Either one of these would make this mod perfect for me, so I hope they can be considered.

i need some help. i am running multiple windows and the box that appears when i type moves around between all of the boxes. how do i set it o it only appears under my main window?

Unable to set Focus on a player, works fine with NPC. It gives an error that "Chatter has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI"
You can Disable or Ignore. Clicking Ignore prevents you from setting a focus and Disable crashed my UI to the point of resetting my resolution in game and shuffling all my mod placements on screen.

Very annoying to say the least, otherwise, great mod.

Hello everyone.. I'm not sure if this would be considered broken or just the way it should work now.. but since Chatter's update after Blizz changes to chat frames, I can't move the Chat Tabs up or down anymore, through the Button Height in chat tabs module. It works only for General, but any other tab gets cut off if moved past the original button height.

It has been quite an issue for me, without that option my chat tabs are behind other pieces of my UI.

In this screenshot, how do I turn it off, I hate it.. I had it on Prat and dumped it because it spammed my whole chatbox of who was on the server, how do you stop that dumb module so I can just press 'Tab' through the box then press enter on who I want to type to instead of getting names?

Can you add replacement module please? For example it will be great if chatboxes will replace large "Вы получаете предмет:" (on english it looks like : "you've got an item") with simple "+".

"+ [An item]" looks better, then "** ******** *******: [An item]", did'nt?

There's a problem with the PlayerNames module options window. No error is thrown, but the lower part isn't shown.
