CooldownCount

Table of Contents

This addon displays a large yellow number (and text for numbers > 60 seconds) on spell icons for action bars, bags, character sheet, and quest icons in the tracker. Font can be modified, and the cut-off for how long a cooldown needs to be in order to display on the button can also be changed. The number begins flashing when time remaining is less than 10 seconds.

This is an update for WoW >= 3.3.5 compatibility since 4.0's new API nuked some of the code here. The original addon was created by hshh and the compatibility has been fixed by TheCheat5 and Kiki.

Additional Note: Tested and confirmed working after dependency update for Patch 6.0.2

How is this a problem? When there are 10 seconds left, there are 10 seconds left - when there is 1 second left, there is 1 second left.
And when there are 0 seconds left it is ready and you shouldn't display a 0.
The current version of a flashing 0 looks silly (and I HATE the decimals), so hope you'll add an option there :)

Hi all,

Here is what I just changed:

- Fixed warning blinking issue
- Fixed timer being sometimes offset by 1 second- Added an option to enable/disable decimal below 1 second
- Added an option to configure the speed at which warning blinking occurs

The decimal countdown was a functionality change to provide better precision. I suppose it's possible to add an option to show decimals from 1->0 or not, but I personally like them because they're more reliable than the flash.

I think we should add both as option:
Either enable the flash, or the decimals, or nothing (I personally prefer nothing^^).
Just tell me if you have the time to do it, or I will :)

Yeah school work is kinda killing me at the moment, pretty much only have time to log in for raids. If you wanna get going on it that's cool, the option may perhaps draw some more traffic since precision timing is a big thing for some people.

I agree that the decimal is a good option, however it is counting down 3, 2, 1, 0, decimals... it is 1 second off and that is really confusing.

I couldn't find a way to make the counter not display 0.x seconds from 1 sec to 0 sec. Previously, it would get to one sec and start the flash. I much prefer the flash, or even nothing, to the decimal countdown, as i find it distracting.

the new version on wowace for 4.0.1 doesn't work for me either. :(
But there is another addon that doesn't show up under similar addons that does exact the same thing as cooldowncount!

First, Thank you for an excellent addon. This is one of those addons that really should have been included in the default interface and you have filled the gap by providing it. Second, I was wondering if you could host this addon on the WowMatrix site or give them permission via GPL to keep a copy on their servers. I use WowMatrix to keep my addons up to date and they are unable to pull the latest version from the curse site. Thank you again for everything you do for the WoW community.

I don't play much anymore, but anyone that likes a clean UI should really give IceHud a try. Everything about it customizable, and it's got an awesome RuneWatch add-on built in.
