Decursive key benefits
Ease of use:
- Decursive supports all classes with cleansing abilities and configures itself automatically, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured). (Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...).
- Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority. (this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively)
- Prioritize or exclude members. (keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic), Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players who can't be dispelled. (player 'out of line of sight' for example).
- Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid. (preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and auditive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.
In brief, what you get with Decursive is effectiveness, a player using Decursive will always dispel faster than other players.

... and I'm already VERY angry with Blizzard for that I mean, changing some rules to add some spice if fine, but all seems more oriented to nerf farming bot, and they didn't care about regular players.
They have built instances like Naxx WITH mods like decursive in mind, as it's about impossible to manually decurse and depoision a 40 man raid every 20 seconds. We'll see, but thanks to the ant-brain of Blizzard developers, now we have to bear with changes that will make easy bosses hard like hell.
Anyway, a simple live *intelligent* list with ppl cursed / poisoned would be already a great help. Intelligent 'cuz I'd like to be able to avoid to dispell stuff from ppl that doesn't need (e.g. mana eating curse on warriors).
If (if) clicking on the frame could throw the right spell would be perfect.
Could you please work on that ? Atm decursive in BC deosn't even shows the live list...
Cheers, Arz
Thx ZombiePope for your answer, but I already knew, through official forums, that such auto-cleansing mods like Decursive would no longer work, at least with BC, and perhaps from next patch on.
My question was purely technical, as version 1.9.8.4 was described as "BC and Lua 5.1.1" compatible, and is seen as "incompatible" on the PTR (not BC closed beta one), that is patch 2.0.X.
My purpose was precisely to see whether Decursive would still work before BC, or if we had to prepare for manual decurse as soon as patch 2.0, that is probably early December. Not being able to launch the add-on prevents me from answering this question.
I'm not Arch but I'm passing through and I'll reply to stuff I know the answers to. :)
@chillinvillain:
Decursive is a LUA UI addon, not a "3rd party program". You don't seem to understand the difference. I recommend asking in the official WoW forums, or reading the stickies there. In any case, this is one of the most popular addons in all of WoW. Most raiding priests, mages, paladins, druids, and shamans use it or something like it. Many warlocks use it too. No one gets banned for using Decursive.
@Gnomuz:
Decursive will not work on the PTR, nor will it work in the upcoming patch, nor will it ever work again. No mod like Decursive will ever work again, at least not in combat. Mods will no longer be able to intelligently select spells, ranks, or targets in combat. "Automated" cleansing mods are dead forever. The best bet for people who want to dispel efficiently is to get a click-casting mod and a set of unit frames that displays debuffs and out-of-range status effectively. For more details, see this:

Arch, friend said DeC was cited as the 3rd party program he was insta-banned for. Can you answer here (and if possible, send me a note) about if this [program] could possibly be construed as a EULA violation?
I tried to use Decursive 1.9.8.4 on European PTR, but the add-on is detected as "incompatible" (in french in the text ^^) in the add-on management interface when I check "Launch outdated add-ons". Otherwise, it's detected as outdated as usual.
Did I do something wrong, or is it a known issue ?
BTW thx again for this great add-on and your efforts
@Bruthos:
It's already done... you can revert the live-list and then place it at the very bottom of your screen and hide the "Decursive" bar, the same behavior is available for the messages displayed when decursing.
@ddx:
I can't test shamans, they work differently than other classes, is there an error message displayed?
Archarodim please see your installer thread and my PM... the addon doesn't work with more than 21 addons. Or more than 21 folders... I dunno
The only thing I could ask for that would make this mod completely perfect would be to be able to invert the way the names appear. I would prefer to have the live list on the bottom of the screen near my action bar pointing up if its possible
@Theik Decursive already does this, only when you get out of combat does it remove debuffs harmless to certain classes. They still show up on the livelist, so you can remove them manually if you so desire, but they aren't being removed automatically.
in the alternativ ace mod of decursiv "Detox" you can filter some debuffs so automaticly ignore manaburn on warriors and so on.
this feature in decursive where great!
Well use my installer, it's listed on this site, you can have it on my website too:
http://www.2072productions.com/?to=wow-auto-installer-for-windows.php
Hi Archarodim! Thank you very much for your addon!
I wanted to ask you if you could help me creating an Installer just like yours, which automatically finds the right AddOns folder. I tried to do that with the NSIS, but it's too complicated for me. I can't find out how to get the installer to install the files where the addons folder is, disregarding where WoW is installed. This would work by looking up the registry, or find the WoW.exe ... But I don't know how to program that.
I want to create a compilation for my guild, also for people who don't know how to install addons correctly. That's why I'm doing this ^^. Maybe you could help me out and tell me how you did it? Your Installer looks pretty much selfcoded... Please help me =(...
BIG FAT EDIT: Cgountanis may you burn in hell, thank you.
the problem is that Decursive test for the type of the debuffs it finds on player... Itch has no type so Decursive desn't know what to do... To implement this would require to handle specific exceptions, it's not easy and may not be worth the effort
Hi, is there a way i can add a debuff for decursive to detect? I want to add "Itch" as a poison so i can cast abolish poison on anyone with the debuff so they'll never get the actuall poison debuff that comes after Itch times out.
if its too much work for the you to add it in the next version, could anyone tell me how do i go about adding Itch to be detected by decursive? thx.
help T_T
I agree generally with Arauka. People put a lot of time and effert into these addons and there are free to use.
Cgountanis your comments are not needed and considering you have never submitted an addon on this site, i LMAO@j00
I think his site is fine, I like it. And opinions and/or emotes from an author is sick as hell and makes me relate more.
btw, your mod is stellar thnx for the heaps of hours you spent so ppl like me can play easier and be lazy =-P
@cgountanis:
Mind your own business please, I don't need and I don't want your "advice" I do what I want, If you don't agree, skip this mod.
It's been 8 months since I've taken this mod in charge, Decusrive is more optimized than ever.
PS: I like my website as it is ; don't insult my work.
@thaze:
That's because I use a faster way to test for range... You may loose 1 or 2 metters... anyway with BC it won't be a problem anymore since you won't be able to autosispel while in combat.
@Promethius:
That's my intention :)

Sreenshot shows: a) Decursive prints "out of range" and cleans nothing. b) no red dot on "Remove Curse" button -> in range (yes, I actually used it)
I wonder why Decursive does not work at max range..
1. Just release the ZIP version. I know RAR is better but hosting 3 or 4 formats per version is just annoying. You are not releasing some kind of Linux distribution. Why added the complication?
2. Spell continued with a capital "C".
3. Your home page is like hell on earth. It is time to re-think better usage of a content management system. I recommend Joomla. The WAREZ 90's are dead.
4. Don't add your opinions to the change log. No one cares. If your add-on is good people will respect you for it no matter what.
5. Don't use emotes and other unprofessional crap in your author posts. Are you trying to make people run away?
With that being said… THANK YOU for taking this project over. Please don’t make is all slow and laggy. Search for the more efficient ways of doing things and don’t make it bloatware. I have recommended this add-on to everyone I know.
I appreciate it wont work. But finding people through 40 people in a raid is going to be a nightmare.
Perhaps making it possible to find them and tell you which group they're in, rather than having it auto-target?
Would make life a lot less strainuous.
