Getting Started
When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:
- Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
- Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
- Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
- Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows
Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe to open the configuration dialog. There is also a minimap icon.

First off, as most people say about this add on, this totally kicks DBMs arse
I've recently come across a problem though, I've noticed when I'm in ICC 25 (at the minute of typing this up) DXE's memory usage went into the 90mb+ area without me being able to do a garbage collect. The only way I am able to reset its usage to something more reasonable is a /console reloadui, with the memory still gaining slowly back up to a high number after. Normally I do a quick garb_col after each boss fight as Power Auras likes to take 10mb which soon goes after the flush. But DXE still likes to maintain a high usage. I can't say I've noticed this happening in ToC, so unsure if this is linked to the ICC part of the add-on. Has anyone else noticed this gain in memory usage?
Sorry, but I couldn't find out how to disable the raid frames. Can someone point me in the right direction?
First I want to say this is a fantastic boss mod. The overall concept and structure blows DBM out of the water.
Sadly though there are several types of encounter mechanics that are not tracked by DXE that are tracked with DBM that are very necessary. Of particular interest with the current encounters are the ability to track add spawn not linked to a summoning spell, and the ability to track the HP of "shields".
The deathwhisper encounter was made slightly more uncomfortable due to lacking timers to track add spawn times. It would also be nice to be able to have the bosses mana show up on the npc health tracking frame. This also applies to Twins in ToGC, the lack of a shield HP tracker made this fight more uncomfortable than it needed to be.
I figured it would be fairly easy to add at least the add spawn timer tracking to dxe and so I checked out your repo and browsed through several encounters. I got a feel for how it might be added, then ran into an issue. I looked into a similar fight to see how you solved it there (Gothik) and discovered that instead of solving it...you just didn't have add spawn timers. That implies to me that you don't have a method for tracking boss abilities that don't have a trigger spell. You very well might truthfully, but I couldn't think of an good reason to not have add timers unless something makes it non trivial to implement and I couldn't figure out how to within your encounter files (granted I don't know jack about the addon so I was stumbling a bit blind).
Basically...If I can't track add spawn times and other similar mechanics that currently aren't supported I'm sadly going to have to switch back before hardmodes.
hi, i'm having problems with the raidwarnings in icc.
the only raidwarnings i got are at Deathbringer Saurfang. the other 3 aviable bosses i got only a timer and nothing more.
i'm using the german client an i got no blizzard errors.
As already mentioned there are no errors.

Is there a way however to turn off the arrows completely?
Kollektiv: Are comments the place where you'd prefer us to report bugs or would you rather us use the ticketing system?
The duration bar of the cyclone on marrowgar seems to be roughly twice as long as it actually is.
There is one thing I need some guidance with. I would like to get the usual raid warnings and sound when important things happen (I guess the kind you get with DBM, or are those actually from oRA?), but I can't figure out how to do that exactly. The warnings I select under the Alerts - Warning Messages tab are the ones I want to see/hear.
I'll get this working asap.
It seems as if the distrubution system isn't working, no matter how I've tried it, I cannot uplaod data to others running DXE in my raid.
Yes, you will. I'm going to merge them today. The only reason it isn't already packaged is because of incompatibilities with npcid parsing, but blizzard seems to have reverted it.
should we expect to see the icecrown bosses you have done before servers come up?
