I'd very much like to be able to set a group to grow horizontally.
Why ?The objective is to, someway, reproduce Blizzard's layout for the following reasons :- considering how numerous the buffs are by now, it's getting harder and harder to confine it to a limited area of the user interface. To address this need, we could, for example, set a maximum number of buffs/debuffs before EBB starts to grow in a second column. Moreover, pc screens are bigger horizontally than vertically.- being able to display some filtered buffs, like HoTs or some other things that we can control (like a Glyph of Life Tap timer), over/under a unit frame.- as an explanation for the above reason, most of a well thought user interface is displaying horizontal information. Unit frames, raid warnings, combat text and even chat text. Trying to stick to it while building a UI helps the information readings, and so the player's reactivity.
How ?Since I'm not in-game right now, I'm not so sure about how EBB handles some already supported things. However, in my opinion, it should allow to set :- the usual padding stuff- the icon to be displayed over/under the name & time text
Thank you for considering to add this feature.--dJe781
i add my vote for this option, because im missing it too... i solved it in some degree by creating separate collums above the portrets of me (player) target, focus, etc. and setting it to filter concrete de-/buffs however sometimes (often) occur situations where the collums grow too high and cross my other UI, informations, etc.
the idea with the possibility to set a speciffic amount of buffs in a collum is good idea as well, which would help prevent the too high growth of the collums
