What Quest were you trying to do?-I was flying to complete a quest in moonglade from desolace
What Category was this Quest in?-Maraudon
What faction are you?-Horde
What game Locale do you use?-?
What steps will reproduce the problem?I don't know - I don't know how it happened
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?-I click the EQ button on the quest menu and nothing happens, I cant get the EQ menu to come up. I tried deleting and reinstalling the addon, even tried an older version and nothing worked. I also disabled all other addons and again, it did not work.
What version of the product are you using?-latest version
Do you have an error log of what happened? No
Please provide any additional information below.-I have no idea what happened, litteraly one minute it was working fine and the next minute I cant get it to open.
After A LOT OF DIGGING I was able to figure out how to fix this. You might want to add this to your page of fixes, as I have seen a lot of other people with this problem.
I had to go into the saved character variables and delete the "posy" and "posx" values in two files:
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\<Realm>\<Character Name>\SavedVariables\EveryQuest
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\<Realm>\<Character Name>\SavedVariables\EveryQuest.lua
(you can easily open the files in notepad)
Had this happen to others, will add option to recenter (will be for 4.0.3+)
Happens to me too... When I open the quest log... the EQ button is unclickable... No errors showing anywhere...
I also noted that in the Interface menu, The server Query and auto-populate option did not seem to work... There used to be a message showing in the chat window when the procedure ends... but nothing come up anymore...
Thanks
[EDIT] OK.... Erasing PosX and PosY like it was mentionned in the first comment fixed everything... (including the Query server)... Probably worth mentionning about the unclickable state I had... With the PosX and PosY I had, the EQ button did not show any reaction when I tried to click it... I wasn't even seeing the button depressing animation... It was simply unclickable. It was like if PosX and PosY were bad coordinates and the addon simply didn't react anymore after noticing this.
Hi...
Just found out something about the EQ button that would not react... For some reason, deleting PosX and PosY fixed my problem the first time... but it came back... After some testing, I found out that another addon was causing the problem.
"Very mobile Frames"... an addon used to move Blizz frames around. If enabled, I wasn't able to use any button added to Blizz basic frames.. Your EQ button was one... And the same was happening with the Scan Button added by AckisRecipeList to the profession frame. After disabling this addon... both button got their abilities back to normal. I was wondering if this might be caused by any addons that can move "unmovable frames" by Blizz design... I can't tell... I was tinkering with the idea that the frame you were opening was at some fixed coordinates... but if I have moved the quest log frame... what would happen when you want to open your EQ frame... But these are only guesses... Can't test this reliably all by myself..
Since I don't know which addon, if not both, would need some tweaking... I posted this message to all 3 addons authors boards..
Thanks...
[EDIT] I got some feedback from "Very Mobile Frames" author... He thinks it might be his addon causing the problem... He's looking into it...
