FlagRSP2

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

FlagRSP2 is an AddOn for World of Warcraft that allows players to add additional information about their characters into the game. It is designed to support role players and allow others with MSP compatible AddOns to easily see if the character is a role player or is even in character. Characters can be fleshed out with additional names, titles, and detailed descriptions.

FlagRSP2 is a continuation of flagRSP 0.5.6 by Flokru. FlagRSP2 is a completely new code base designed to be more efficient and play well with other AddOns. As of 2.5, FlagRSP2 uses the new Mary Sue Protocol to communicate, and no longer uses chat channels.

If your FlagRSP2 copy is OLDER than 1.5.x you should delete the FlagRSP2 directory first!(The Curse Client will do this for you if you use that.) Copy the "flagRSP2" folder into your World of Warcraft AddOns folder. Before selecting your character and entering the game other MSP RP AddOns such as MyRolePlay must be disabled to prevent conflicts.

If you really like this AddOn and would like to help support it, there are a couple of things you can do. You can help by providing clear bug reports that try to accurately describe the problem and screenshots are helpful. Submit your trouble ticket here.

Hey there, I have an issue with FlagRSP version 2.4.4. When I write (or paste) my Physical description and click Okay, my interface closes and the description vanishes. It's impossible for me to actually save it and have it display upon mouseover my character.

Rather than the “Okay” button at the bottom, look for a “Save” button which appears next to the edit box. I believe that’s the one you want.

Right so after the latest download my tooltip layout changed completely.

How do I revert back to the old layout with rounded edges that resembled Blizzard's own? I can't stand to look at those ugly square boxes for all my tooltips.

FlagRSP2 isn't saving my description. I click the 'accept' button under the box, but that does nothing. My name, title, etc, those all get saved.

Help? :)

Target player's name in the tooltip does not play nicely with the Tiptac add-on. Displays the name with prefix and suffix names on first display, but then loses prefixes and suffixes (and gains TipTac name formatting) on next update.

I am unsure if this is an issue with FlagRSP2 or TipTac.

I can confirm the same thing happens. TipTac will play somewhat nicely if you go into FlagRSP2 and check the "Use Blizzard Formatting", but you'll still have the problem Psieonic mentions.

2.4.4 release, still broken. No minimap, can't anyone's RP status or their RSP and can't see my own when targeting self. Can manually open through character pane and mess with it but still broken and doesn't work at all the way it should. Error report to follow. Will also post on the Ace Forums.

I am running 2.4.3 and every time I login, I get this error. Last I heard back from Azxiana you said it was "already fixed" - in what version? Can I get that?

(First of all ... sorry for my mad english :x I hope this will be understandable --')

I will say the same:

And. A new problem will apear with the addon TotalRp v.2 (another addon rp who become most importantly than Flag actually on french serveur)(not yet in english version but the v.1 was translated, so i think the v.2 will be soon).
So, the infos of personnage using TRP are not accessible with Flag, not at all! Only Trp can (for the moment) read the info of Flag (should.. because... it's not perfect and, it's an option disabled by default...).
So i'dont know the communication system of new Trp, but it's very limitative and i'll let you thinking of the problem for the fan of Flag. Especially that future versions of Trp might no longer support any compatibility with Flag, that's what the developer said. :/

The mod seems almost completely broken to me. mini map button gone and can't see my own or anyone elses RSP's when clicked on and/or targeted. Error report to follow.

I have 2 things to say.

1. I don't like the new description popup transparency. I can barely read it sometimes. I've tried tinkering with all options and nothing changes it.

2. My minimap button has completely dissapeared on all of my characters. Tried disabling/enabling. Nothing seems to be working.

Just like to say with the latest update, the transparency issue is no more, my RSP search is back, and everything is working as it was pre-patch. Much <3

Now if only it didn't take like ten minutes to load some peoples descriptions completely haha XD But that I can deal with =P
