GatherMate

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Collects Herbs, Mines, Gas Clouds and Fishing locations and adds them to the worldmap and minimap.

Please note this has been replaced with GatherMate2 for Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria.

I'm using this one for very long time now and it really rocks. Before i used gatherer but i didn't like alot of things about it.
still i noticed one problem, might be only happening on deathknights but i'm not sure as i don't have any other higher lvl miner to check it.
There is problem with eastern plaguelands mining points changing location when you fly or ride with deathknight (but might also happend with other chars). Can someone else check if they got that issue or it might be just problem with chinchilla minimap addon doing problems... thx in advance for fixing or solving this problem.

oh yeah and i have just logged into my main who isnt mining and they all come up for that one....
i then logged back into alt and the only ones that are displayed are all in the outlands none in azeroth :(
wondering if i need to download a pervious version first.

You need to go into /gathermate with each character and set your desired tracking. Mining on one character and herbs on another, for example. Each character will create a separate profile, with individual settings.

<then logged back into alt and the only ones that are displayed are all in the outlands none in azeroth>
Go into "filters" (/gathermate again) and find herbs. Check "select all" and all herbs will be shown. These filters are handy for reducing clutter on your world or minimap when you are only interested in certain nodes.

I'm sorry, I misread your post. However, your issue with different nodes showing for different characters is still in the filter settings, just set what you wish to be displayed for each character. Make sure each character has their own profile.

Um, i am having problems with this great addon....
I have downloaded gathermate, gathermate-cartimport, gathermate-data, gathermate-sharing, gatherer database, gatherhud, gatherer with direction indicator...... but still i only get the nodes on my maps once i have discovered!! :( All the options are ticked in the /gathermate i am fairly new to addons. Are there any addons that conflict with this one if so which?

You need to actually run the importers to get the data from the various databases. Installing the databases makes them available to import, but can't actually import the data. go into gathermate and check out the import tab.

I second this request, i would love to have the minimap circles either not show a tooltip when the icon is gone, or have the circles bigger so we can inspect the actual node being shown. Sometimes i dont want to go out of my way for a small node but if its a rich one i will stop, and its very hard to tell by mouseover which is it because of the circle tips.

Can we have larger circles depicting nodes that GatherMate knows about, preferrably larger than the green circles placed by Gatherer? Having the circles so small makes it a little tricky to use the minimap for node examination. Thanks

well a note or a readme with this info /gathermate would be nice we dont read minds and alot of people are new to addons. so be a little nicer about it, especially if you're going to look for donations, as I like something and its easy to understand and helps me well then I am not against showing my appreciation with a little money in your direction. tho i do not see a donation button.

Gather mate comes with the UI Im currently using and I really like it. Previously I used Gatherer which feels very clunky by comparison. The only thing Id like to see is a search function implemented as I really miss this.

I use the cartographer Icons mods and since installing gathermate none of these icons will work. Please fix so gathermate doesn't overwrite the icon packs.

People like you make me wonder how you even manage to log into WoW.
I'll keep it short. Did you try /gathermate? That opens the config. The rest is not hard to figure out, except one thing. Go download gathermate data http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gathermate_data.aspx
which contains the location of every node in the WoWhead database. Unzip it into your WoW add-ons folder, just like any other mod. Then go into the gathermate config and "import data."
Now, the "worst addon ever" will show you the location of nearly every node in the game. Enjoy.

I am having the same issue as Audrix. I just installed Cartographer and Gathermate. Everything works good, except when I click on database maintenance in Gathermate, then my Wow client freezes and I have to start task manager just to close down. I really like your Cartographer mod and want to use Gathermate as well. Thanks for your hard work and any advice you can give me about this issue.

Same here, worked well before updating Gathermate_data, now Maintenance freezes wow and only way out is thru task manager :(
