GnomeWorks TradeSkill Frame -
a complete replacement for the blizzard trade skill frame.
not sure what would drop your fps so low. might be a case of gw reacting to an empty cache after the latest patch or perhaps some other mod reacting to events driving my gw code...
yes, skill level will be a sorting option. it's been a low priority issue so far.
bowlam: keep in mind that you can drive your queue for your scribe directly from your bank toon. simply select that toon's trade skill from the player menu and then queue up whatever it is you wish. eventually, if you've queue'd up reagents your bank toon has, it should mail those items to your crafter toon.
Is it possible to sort through difficulties as did skillet pls?
And for me, since I installed gw I have my latency drops to 2 fps >< have you any suggestions pls?
ok ... thanks for reply. So to have GW track the goods I send to my level 1 banker to Auction I have to have GW running on that toon. He will only have cooking I think. My inscription toon (Level 80 DK) will make glyphs and vellum etc and send them to the banker. As long as the banker also has GW running the GW on my Inscription toon will see the items and account for them in Inventory
new rev is up. the main change is that the vendor conversion stuff is now handled as a proper pseudo trade. you should wipe your gnomeworks saved vars (or issue the command /script GnomeWorksDB = nil followed by /reload).
gnomeworks will now purchase vendor conversion items by clicking the "process" button like other recipe executions.
the vendor conversion system only works for items that can be converted to other items. i need to figure out a scheme to work with alternate currency items still. they shouldn't be simple vendor items, but currency items are no longer treated like inventory items so they are harder to track.
oh, i also limited the queue pop ups to when you have shopping list items related to the place your visiting. vendor conversion items don't count as vendor queue items, tho... i'll adjust this at some point.
gw uses the same mechanism that skillet used to track inventory. two things to keep in mind with gw's inventory tracking:
1. you must of course use gw on any toon for which you want inventory data
2. gw will only track inventory of trade skill items (reagents and results) so it might take a few sessions to figure out which items it needs to track as it learns about new recipes from your toons
Can you tell me please does GW still account for Inventory like Skillet did. ie. I have glyphs on my banker, on my inscriptionist ( different toon) and also in the AH. Skillet would always know they are there. If they are in transit ie expired Auctions and not yet downloaded in email it would not account for them in inventory. This is fine but I am not seeing items in Inventory and thought I would just ask.
I cannot change the ink source on the queue list. When i right click on the ink, it brings up the "Select Recipe Source" but then the only option it shows is exactly the same ink. For example, Shimmering Ink >> Select Ink Source >> Shimmering Ink.
there are no options to change my ink source to the ink vendor. I'm using this to craft over 100 diff glyphs at a time so this is huge for me and the other ppl making glyphs. I don't even mind clicking the ink type on the vendor a thousand times, but not knowing how much ink i need from my queue list is driving me nuts.
if the scan frame is up for anything more than a fraction of a second, it's because the trade skill in question has not yet been fully scanned. if you click the frame, it'll skip that trade skill. you can then try to view that trade skill manually with the gw frame and verify that it's not been cached by the client (the skill list will be blank). i suppose i could add a simply time-out feature to only cache trades that are already cached. then maybe re-try later when you actually access that toon in the session...
i think part of the problem here also is that blizz are doing lots of patches which means people's caches are being deleted which means they have to wait while the data downloads. you can disable gw enitrely and log into a toon with a lot of recipes (or click on somebody's lfw link) and see that it takes a long time just to get the data.
but i'm still thinking about different options here...
Ugh, hate to say this but the scan every time the UI loads (either a logon or UI reload) sitting in the center screen is getting annoying, possibly simply route to the chat frame so it's out of the way
Also since my recipes change very little I see no point in it scanning the same toons over and over again, put in a option to disable it and offer a manual scan when I feel it need's to do one allow for the the fact I know when I get a new recipe so I know when a scan is needed.
I understand you are working on the shopping list box, it would be nice to get the option if empty don't open at every vendor.
Other wise everything is fine, keep up the good work.
That feature was the only one that i liked better with skillet was the ability to que everything i wanted to make then go to the vendor open it up an hit buy an it would buy the total that i needed to complete my que.
I would love to have that ability with this addon because over all it is a much better addon but i do miss that feature from skillet.
" here's my thought on the queue/shopping list window:
the point is that it's a reminder. it will pop up as a means to inform you that you have some business to take care of in case you have forgotten. this would suggest then that if you have no business to take care of, it should not pop up. i will change it to only pop up when there items in your shopping list.
realizing that it still might be annoying if you have to go back and forth between a vendor, the ah, your bank, mail, etc. i think i will add a way to collapse the frame down to a single button. the button will react in some fashion (highlight, blink, flash, etc) instead of popping open.
once config options have been implemented, this will be tunable. so you could turn off the popping entirely, or have it always expand to the full thing.
as i think about the small button approach, it's entirely possible that the queue/shopping list could be hotlinked to actually be executable from this stowed state. i'll ponder this some more, but i think it's totally doable to have a context sensitive "collect all" button to retrieve any items retrievable from wherever you are and a "process" button that will process whatever next step needs to be done."
Would really appreciate a checkbox to turn the queue tab on/off so it doesnt show up whenever I go to a vendor to sell, or coded so it goes away from the vendor list does :)
Otherwise it looks awesome. So far I much prefer it to its predecessor, well done.

Great addon, but please turn off the queue window. I would rather open it when needed, then close it a million time when going back and forth between mailbox and AH.
Very enjoying and disturbing as many other have stated already
the best thing about gnomeworks is that it works so smooth, no grapichs glitching, no big fps drops on long queues .. i hope it will as awsome as it is looking now
chikchik: in the queue list, you can click on a recipe to select a different recipe that produces the same result. so if gw has you generating an ink via milling, you can tell it you'd rather convert ink of the sea. at the moment, gw *should* favor whichever recipe you have the materials for.
at the moment, there is no automated way to collect the inks from the vendor. i will be implementing this next. hopefully, it won't take too much code.
Am I missing something here? I installed r58 and did my normal Scan, Get Profitable, Add to Skill and it worked flawlessly. When I went to the paper vendor I opened the vendor window, right clicked the items in the shopping list, and the papers were purchased in bulk.
But inks? Yndin mentioned "..I've clicked to choose Vendor ink source..." Where exactly is that? I thought that I clicked everything on the GW screen and never got that option. And bowlam mentioned "...purchase in bulk from the ink and parchment vendors..." but all I have in my shopping list are herbs. What am I missing?
there is currently no option system implemented yet.
gnomeworks DOES track inventory on other toons, assuming you've used gnomeworks on those toons. if it's not doing it properly, let me know. it does not currently track mail or auctions, but i will be adding it.
the vendor pseudo trade lacks an execution ability. the idea will be that the vendor conversions will be processed like all the other recipes are. coming soon.

hmm - I might be totally blind, but has the "search" option disappeared?

have you visited jessica sellers? gw needs to see the conversion in order to record it.

Sounds like a good approach to me!
I open thousands of mails each day. I cruise between the AH, Mailbox, bank and every time I see the queue window "pop up" I get spasm :=)
Skillet wasn't perfect. Gnomework have a lot potential, but must support three important things to overcome the old skillet addon:
Other then that, keep up the good work! I love your work, but the not the pop ups :))
