GnomeWorks TradeSkill Frame -
a complete replacement for the blizzard trade skill frame.
Is there some file I need to delete to show the correct number of inks per inscription? Min all show one ink per when it should be 3 for many. Or is this issue still outstanding?
to all of those having errors or not getting the conversions to work, i have found it always works for me when I delete GW from interface and then delete gnomeworks.lua as well from the WTF/account/youraccount/saved variables.
I'm pretty sure this has been stated before but try that as it's always worked for me.
the tradeID/player is nil stuff should be harmless to comment out. with the window closed, i'm not sure why that code would execute. i'll track it down.
the internal bag error is what happens when you try to buy more than a single stack of an item. my vendor conversion purchase code is a bit simplistic at the moment. i need to have it break up the purchase into multiple stacks if you buy more than a stack-size of something. i may end up reverting vendor conversions from being recipes to being true vendor items. the reason they aren't simply vendor items is so they can fit into the queue system since they have reagents. i'm considering a mechanism to have them convert from recipes to vendor items as you gain currency (ink of the sea)... i still need to sort out a good currency tracking system now that currencies are no longer inventory items, so this is definitely tbd...
The first download of r61 had the skill screen header as GW (r55), it wouldn't record the conversion with Jessica, and the Queue popped up ever 4 sec., regardless of what was happening.
I erased my downloaded file, it's extracted files, the Addons files and the GW.lua file and downloaded it again, extracted again, copied to my addons folder again. Restarted WoW, scanned the AH, Got Profitable, Added to Skill and hearthed back to the Sacellum.
It recorded the conversion for parchments, it recorded the conversion for inks, it correctly allows choosing the recipe source and has Vendor Conversion as it's default. That, to me, is working perfectly. Thank you.
LS: I deleted my Gnomeworks.lua savedvariables file to test the new version. First time I came into game, while it was scanning Inscription, WoW.exe locked up - I had to end task it. Second time I came into game, canceled the scan. Opened the tradeskill interface, went to the ink trader and parchment seller - it recorded properly. Queued up a glyph, and it showed the vendor conversion for the ink and to purchase the parchment. Opened the ink vendor, and it processed the ink exchange. Opened the parchment vendor, the button said "Nothing to process" in the queue, and then gave the following error:
gw should never tell you that you have items on a different server. when i create by config gui, i'll definitely add things like which sources to track and such.
I'm quite liking Gnomeworks, and I've even gotten used to selecting the different sources for mats. Thank you.
The only thing that I am not liking is the Alt craftability. Since I am an altoholic across multiple servers it causes me headaches when I try to get my new scribe to make things and it keeps showing my 450 scribe and 450 alchemist inventory.
just a "simple" checkbox to ignore Alt inventories would make me happy
the guild interface is problematic at the moment. blizzard created a whole new way to access these trade skills rather than using trade links. gw is kind of based on trade links, so it's problematic. i'll figure out how to make it work. it seems to be hit or miss at the moment.
i think you need to delete your saved var file if you don't see any recipes in the vendor list. i changed the way i work them, but if you have old data, it won't re-record them in the new system.
I can't see them on ANY character, but on my mage, clicking the herbs in the Auction pane of the queue window while the ink trader is open will buy the inks, but on my lock, it doesn't.
Also, when I view someone else's tradeskill link through the guild pane, it just says UNKNOWN and doesnt show any recipes.
boxthor: can your alt see the vendor conversions in the trade list (click the bag icon)? some people have complained that they can't get the recipe selection system to work for them, so this would be interesting if you have one toon for which it works and another for which it doesn't. it would suggest maybe i can duplicate the problem by simply trying different alts until i find one for which it fails.
sarah: it doesn't matter if you don't have herbs. in fact, it's because you don't have them that the problem rears its head, really. if i'm right, what's going on is that you have some stuff queued up. you ran out of ink for some herbs, so gw is telling you to buy some to process into pigments. those millings would yield enough pigments to get your ink, but they'd also have some left over. the next entry that uses those pigments is expecting that those pigments will be there (to prevent it from telling you to buy more herbs than are necessary).
since you don't have those herbs, the first entry is skipped entirely. but the second sees that you need, say, 6 pigments but your pigment deficit is only 4 (since it thinks the previous milling will have a 2 pigment surplus). this is causing some confusion with how i'm figuring out what can be crafted (i'm simply subtracting the deficit from the requirement instead of recalculating based on-hand items inventory). i think it should be relatively easy to refactor this code.
Is there some file I need to delete to show the correct number of inks per inscription? Min all show one ink per when it should be 3 for many. Or is this issue still outstanding?
We have confidence in you lilsparky. Don't burn yourself out though, take your time. Its beta :)

Would it be possible to add a "get components from bank / buy from vendor" function to GnomeWorks similar to ATSW?
If this is already there, could you tell me where to find it?
I'm getting:

@lilsparky that sounds perfect.
The only other issue I'm having is that one of my characters (on a separate server) isn't recognizing the vendor conversions, but my main is.
I look forward to your new version :3
