Using 2.0.32 in Retail.
Form a 3 man group and the UI is present, then phase into an Island Expedition and the UI disappears. Its as if a 3 man instance is not recognized. Is there some setting I have wrong, or is it not designed to work in 3 man content?
Love the addon, and have used it for a long time, keep up the great work.
Working fine here, the layout configured for group/party is used.
Goto General / About Tab.
In Debugging section click on Grid2 and Grid2Layout.
Post here the debug chat messages displayed when you enter in a Islands Instance.
Frame was up with 3 players before entering. Entered, Frame went, and messages as below. Appreciate you help with this.
[22:12] Grid2: DEBUG Grid2 GroupChanged PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD Snowblossom Village (Islands 3) 1907 nil none 5 => party other 5[22:12] Grid2: DEBUG Grid2_Grid2Layout GroupTypeChanged party other 5
All seems fine, grid2 should load the layout configured for party (5man) (you didn't enabled Grid2Layout debugging so in the debug messages the layout used is not displayed.
HI, Grid2Layout Debug was enabled. Its the second line in the messages above. Thinking about the layout i use might actually be the answer. I have created a custom layout that put Tanks in a horizontal line at the bottom of the grid, then the healers in a line above, and then the DPS in up to 3 lines above those. As i have specified that players positions are dependent on their spec, is it possible that Islands do not give a value for spec (Tank, Healer, DPS) and therefore there is nothing to display?
Using the above theory, I edited the custom layout and added an extra row that only shows the roles "None". Formed a group and the layout showed tank, healer, dps all stacked on top of each other as the layout should. On entering the Island the grid pivoted, to all being side by side, using this new 4th condition of "None". In summary, although you might not think, you have helped me, and the addon is now doing exactly what I need and is wonderful. Many Many Thanks.
