What version of Grid2 and game type (classic or retail) are you using ?

    Grid2-2.0.52-wrath.zip / Classic/wotlk prepatch

What game client version (windows or mac) and language are you using ?

     windows/english

    Hey!

i love using grid2! i use it many years now. i started playing classic and i configured my frames like i have them on retail.

The only problem i have is, that i cant configure shields/shields overflow on the classic version.

I have to use Weakaurs to track the amount of shields my party has. Is it possible to implement the shields/shields overflow option that i can see how much shield is left i casted on my party?

i added 3 pictures: classic grid; retail grid and how i configured my overshields on retail

    Thank you!

    Greetings

    Chris

Shields API does not exist in game classic versions, so the shield status is disabled for classic.

Ye i know but there are Weakauras that you can track the Strenght of your own shields no?

Yes, and even i have my own HUD addon to track my shields, but grid2 statuses should display the shields of the whole party/raid not only my own shields. There are plenty of hud addons or weakauras to track the player own shields.

Yea you're right! What hud addon do you use?

KiwiHUD, the source code is in github but there are no public releases, currently its only for my personal use, so it's not very easy to configure.

how do i even install it haha, tried to copy it in my addons folder but it doestn appear :D wanted to give it a try

Sorry there is not simple installation, you have to rename the addon folder to KiwiHUD,  create a "Libs" folder and download and copy manually all external libraries there. The necessary external libraries are listed in .pkgmeta-classic file.

@michaelsp, this fan update is incorporating SpecializedAbsorbs-1.0 to reenable this status.

Is that off the table for the official wotlk version?
