 Hello, thank you for maintaining grid2, it is my favorite raid frame/ group frame addon.

I was exploring the themes section and messing with it a bit to see if I could find a way to make certain themes that resized themselves depending on group size reactively as people would come into and then leave the group. I am looking for a way to bottleneck the group sizing for each theme I make at a minimum and maximum set number of players in the group to be displayed in the corresponding theme all the way up until the group size limit is hit. 

Right now, it seems as though when you are in a party, it looks at the potential maximum amount of people able to join your group and then enables a corresponding theme that can support that many people. This means that I cannot activate any themes with different levels of width or height scaling unless it is specifically 5 man groups (a max size party theme) or a 40 man raid theme (the maximum amount of players allowed in your raid.

I think I've repeated myself a bit here, my mistake. Adding an option to set floor and ceiling sizes for my themes to trigger would be an awesome feature to work with. Thank you. :)

The group sizing works based on the max instance size, not on the actual number of players in raid.

So for a normal or heroic raid instance, the size is always 30, for a mythic raid the size is 20, in open world the raid size is always 40, etc.

Is it not possible to throttle the group size in the open world then? I will have to get home and then test the by instance size as well. 

Also just checking here, there wouldn’t happen to be a good resource to follow to learn more about how themes work? I’ve exhausted most youtube videos that I could find in this subject, searched all of Reddit and wowhead for this and have been messing with the setting for a bit myself to see if there was a way to do this. 

Not possible. Theme changes cannot be done in combat due to game restrictions,  changing the position and size of raid frames is very problematic, specially in open world when players are joining and leaving the raid while people is in combat.

Sorry I dont know any tutorial  about themes, but there is not much to explain, you select a condition and a theme, and the addon switches to the specified theme when de condition is met,. so except 10man,20man,etc conditions, that can be confusing, i think the rest of conditions are straighforward.
