What version of Grid2  are you using (Version is displayed in General/About Tab) ?

 Is it possible to get a option to sort within group based on role? like  Tank-dps-dps-dps-Healer

 and not move players outside of group. So it still easy to see whos in g2 for example.

So if both tanks are in g1 and i want       Tank-tank-dps-dps-healer

                                                                 dps-dps-dps-healer-healer

and if one tank is in g2 i want:                 tank-dps-dps-dps-healer

                                                                 tank-dps-dps-healer-healer

Right now its only:   Role=everyone gets moved around but it fixes the sorting of tank,healers and dps.

                               Raid(role)= tanks get moved to g1 so i still cant trust what group everyone is in. Not sure what happens to healers to be fair

                                Group=Fixes the overview of groups but tanks and healers can be anywhere within that group.

I have the same issue (with Grid2 2.2.3.1, but in wotlk), and would really be pleased by a fix.

In short, i would love to have all the tanks positioned next to each other, preferably in g1, top left or top tight. Right now, this seems to be impossible, now matter what layout i chose.

These are different issues.

First Issue (Nejtchurr):

You have to create a custom layout in the layout editor (General>Layouts>Editor>Create New Layout).

Add 5 headers (clicking the + tab) one header for each group, and select "group by" role.

Players(1) header: Group By: "role"   Groups: Check only group 1.

Players(2) header: Group By: "role"   Groups: Check only group 2.

Players(3) header: Group By: "role"   Groups: Check only group 3.

Players(4) header: Group By: "role"   Groups: Check only group 4.

Players(5) header: Group By: "role"   Groups: Check only group 5.

Second Issue ( nouse_001 ):

By Role Layout works just like this, tanks next to each other in the first row. If your tanks are not displayed in this way probably is because they didnt select the Tank role.

Why didnt i think about that. It worked like a charm. Thanks alot! ive scratched my head so much with this problem and it was so simple
