HP values on healthbar not showing correctly / updating slowly #385

    What steps will reproduce the problem?
    1. Lose some HP
    2. Heal back up

    What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
    - Expected: I expect grid2's health bar to reflect the person's actual health
    - Instead: Grid2 shows just plain incorrect hp values or is really behind on updating the correct values.

    What Grid2 version and language of WoW are you using?
    - Grid2 version vr734; WoW client language is english.

    Do you have an error log of what happened?
    - no

    Please provide any additional information below.
    - As mentioned before: Grid2 isn't updating the hp values correctly - this happens quite often to me. I already let people die because my grid just wasn't showing them as being low hp. I don't have any shield values or stuff like that being shown - just plain hp. This also happens when you heal people up then grid sometimes shows them as still being low.

    Sometimes the healthbar seems to show completly confusing information: for example when you are full hp then the hp bar shows you as being maybe half full. This is, while the text indicator which shows me the health-deficit, doesn't show anything, indicating me being full hp (which is correct in that case).

    * I just tested around a bit and found out, that sometimes, if the healthbar wasn't showing the correct values, when I started to cast a heal, then it would update.

    So I assume there is a problem with the "healthbar indicator". I tested showing the current hp as text and that seems to work just fine.

    P.S.: I already tried reinstalling the addon and clearing all saved variables and also tested this on a completely new profile - same results.

    I'm having this exact same problem, and it's driving me nuts! Any hope for a fix? This is fairly critical, playing as a healer.

    Please check health status "Instant updates" option. Is the option checked or unchecked when that behaviour occurs ?

    I'm guessing this is related, too http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid2/tickets/381-incoming-heal-color-always-black/

    certainly looks like some missing events.

    I just updated to the newest Version of Grid2 and now it seems to work just fine again.

    Thank you so much for this fix. I can finally use this Addon again ;)

    @Skubidus: Go

    i cannot reproduce the problem so i need some help, What revision is working fine, r738, r739 , or both ? (Not counting death status is not working in r739)

    @Stanzilla: Go

    That problem is not due to missing events, and must be fixed too (i wish). Blizzard introduced a bug in new patch, i changed the status bars anchoring code to avoid triggering the bug.

    I didn't get a chance to test r738. I am currently using r739 and that is working perfectly fine for me so far.

    EDIT: I just saw that the healthstatus-changes have been reverted in r740. Does this mean, that if I update to that version it won't work for me again or are this different changes?

    I don't know, because there are two posible causes, i reverted some changes to be able to discover the real origin of the problem, if r740 does not work fine, i will upload a new version with the problem fixed.

    PD: Remember to not enable the "Instant Updates" option, this option uses the combatlog to update the health bars much faster, and could hide the issue.

    After Lay of Hands health is displayed incorrectly to me in r740. Empty bar :( And health bar is updated with 0.5 sec or so delay. Both with checked/unchecked "Instant health". In 741 too.

    Check r742 revision. Fast option must react like compact blizzard raid frames. Normal option must react slightly slower, like Grid and some other unit frames addons that dont use UNIT_HEALTH_FREQUENT event. Instant option, is the fast possible reaction, but could generate some erratic fluctuations in health bars.
