    Grid2 version r777
    6.2.0, US, English
    100 Priest, Disc/Holy

A general shortcoming with the shield meter in the default UI is that when a health bar is full, the shield bar is no longer visible. However, AoR_Derangement over at Curse.com created an addon that changes where the shield bar is anchored. The result is being able to graphically see shield value regardless of health value, which is particularly useful to discipline priests. Currently, AoR_Derangement's addon only changes the default UI's player and raid frames. I would love to see this being supported with Grid2, whether it becomes a permanent addition or module.

Thank you for the effort you put into this addon. Here is a link to what I'm talking about.

There are already several ways to display the shields in Grid2. An additional bar or multibar indicator could be configured to mimic the suggested behaviour.

Ok, so with a bit of experimentation here's the settings I would like to see for a shield bar added to Grid2's default loadout:
    Current Status: Shields
    Layout:
     Location & Align Point: Center
     X & Y Offset: 0
     Frame Level 3
Orientation: I prefer horizontal, but you can leave it as vertical.
     Frame Texture: Striped
     Bar Width & Height: 0
     Opacity: .55

The only problem is the limited color options. The default green color for shields does not look good, in my opinion. My preference would be a neutral grey/white color for all shields on every raid member, however that may not be what everyone else wants.
Something to look into is utilizing the Color Picker found in the default chat settings to customize the colors assignments for Available Statuses, but that's another ticket for another day.

    @Zaronis: Go

I dont understand the color problem, that is fully customizable in grid2.

Another posibility is to stack the shield status in a multibar to display something like:

    healths-shields

And create an extra bar to display only the overflow part of the shields (the part above max health).

To display the overflow part, a multibar with two stacked bars must be created:

Main Bar: health-deficit (reverse option enabled)

    Extra Bar1: shields
