1. Click the border indicator and go to the layout tab2. Select a border different than Grid2 flat, for example Blizzard Tooltip3. Change border suze
Expected output:Border size increases as much as the frame shrinks. What I see instead:Border size increases only a very tiny amount compared to the shrinking of the frame.
Grid2 version: r786Wow version: 6.2.2 (20574)(Release x64)
Do you have an error log of what happened? No errors
I want to let my friend use grid2 as well and she demands pretty borders...sigh.
Working fine here. Blizzard default borders are huge , you need to set a big border size like 14 o 16 pixels, and big negative border separation to compensate (something like -10 pixels). Keep in mind that border is an indicator, so it is not active be default you need to link an active status to see the border, or set a non transparent color for the border.
I tried that using a huge border size and set a high negative border separation, but that didn't look like it was intentional. And it also doesn't look that great. For targets with alpha indicator active (out of range etc) you get a different color rectangle in the middle of the frame too.
If I set the same texture for border in general settings I can get a good looking border around all frames, just not for seperate frames.
I was trying to make the borders look like this: http://prntscr.com/8wfu29
Can you suggest some settings?
@Dailyleaf: Go This is the better i can do:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid2/images/24-grid2-example-9/
Settings:
Border size: 16
Border separation: -11
Texture: Blizzard Tooltip
Blizzard borders are really huge, the displayed rectangle when a unit goes out of range, is the limit where the blizzard border stops. You must configure a background using the same color of the border to fill that unfilled rectangle area.
Update: Using the same color for the background could not fix the issue, a background transparent color probably will do the work.
I managed to remove the different color rectangle in the center in general settings. Inner border color - move right slider all the way down.
The image you posted looked really good and I can work with those settings.
I didn't realize blizzard borders were like this.
Thank you for looking into this for me and giving all the quick responses.
