Raid resize always to 40 on normal/heroic #664

What version of Grid2 are you using?

     r879

What game client version (windows or macand language are you using ?

    Game version: 8.1.5.2998 - English; Windows 10 - PT

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I saw a ticket when on BG's return's always raidsize 40 ignoring layouts resize, this happens to me when raids are flexible like normal/heroic or questing. If i delete the layout 40 it resizes to the base width/height that i setup ignoring all layouts between. I would say that like the BG's bug the game isn't returning the proper size.

Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled?

    Yes

Was it working in a previous versionIf yeswhich was the last good one?

This worked fine before when i was using ElvUI in the version r872. i tried it without Elvui on the version r872 and it still does not work.

Do you have an error log of what happenedIf you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).

No, i checked and no error occurs.

    Goto "About" tab,

Check the "Grid2" toggle under Debug section

Enter a flexible raid, and past here the  Grid2 chat  messages, specialy the lines starting with:

Umm , i dont understand the issue, from the logs it seems you are in a open world continent zone: "Zandalar (mapid 1642)," not inside any instance, in open world Grid2 always uses a 40 raid size, open world is not a normal/heroic/mythic instance, or was your toon really inside an raid instance when you took the screenshots ? In this case which instance or instances ?

No, i was outside the instance that was my bad, the problem only happens on flexible raids like normal/heroic, on mythic/warfronts it always resizes to 20.

Tomorrow i will do my BOD heroic run and post new screenshots inside the instance.

    Sorry for the mess.

Looks like the problem doesn't only happen on flexible raids, like you can see on lfr is loading the 30 man layout instead the 25 man layout. The thing is, instead of loading the layout based on the number of players and scale true it, always loads the layout of the maximum number of players possible. ex: BOD normal 2/3/9 should load the 15 man layout instead loads the 40 man.

I’m goanna take screenshots from heroic/mythic before the reset, just to make sure that is like lfr.

Lfr, normal and heroic are flexible raids, flexible raids have a 30 man raid size, so at least for lfr it's working fine.

I was searching around i don't know if my problem is exactly a bug, what i was trying to accomplish is to load the 15 or 20 man layout when possible instead of displaying always the 40/30 man layout on flexible raids, but i'm not sure if grid2 does that.

Is it possible to load a layout manually using a command?

What is a 15 man layout? Grid2 does not have a 15 man layout.

Or maybe did you create several custom layouts using the layout editor?

Stop talking about layouts. What do you want to see on the screen?

Maybe do you want to display only up to 15 people, the players inside the first 3 groups (1,2 3) when you are in a normal/heroic raid?

Please describe what you want to see on screen for each type of raid.

When i say 15 man layout, i mean that:

When i'm on a flexible raid, i get this:

Like you can see, only 19 player are in raid but is displaying like are 40

So I want something like that:

A ideia is,  if are 5 >  players and < =10, displays the 10 man raid size; if are 10 >  players and < =15, displays the 15 man raid size, etc, etc....

Sorry if I misspelled something, like you can see English isn’t my main language.

The "Raid Size" tab really means "Max Instance  Size", does not matter if only 19 people are in the raid, the normal/heroic/lfr instances  are a 30 man raid size, so you must configure a custom layout and frame size  for a 30 man capability in the "Raid Size Tab".

The layout cannot change based on the actual number of people in raid, because this must be decided when the player enters in the instance, and cannot be changed later.
