What version of Grid2 are you using? Most recet

What game client version (windows or mac) and language are you using ? Windows

What steps will reproduce the problem? Set the debuff to alpha indicator

Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled? Yes

Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one?

Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).

Please provide any additional information below.

If I have that debuff set to my alpha, so it reduces the opacity of the player affected by it, it does not follow the opacity value of the debuff. It just seems to do a 0% opacity and make that players frame 'invisible'

This debuff is for Insatiable Hunger on Uu'nat

Umm, buffs and debuffs cannot be used with the alpha indicator, you are the first person in 10 years trying to link a buff/debuff to the alpha indicator (well, really can be used, but the opacity applied is the value monitorized in the aura, that usually  is cero).

Can you provide some important reason to code this behaviour ? Changing this is problematic because could break the posibility to track shields values of buffs (like priest Power Word: Shield)

The reason I am wanting this is because when a person has that debuff in Uunat they cannot be healed or anything, so I would like to set the opacity to 50% so it's easier for me to ignore their frame. This is what I do with charmed targets, out of range targets, and offline targets. They are all at 50% opacity, or set to it...like your offline alpha opacity follows the opacity of the color for it.

This will also be nice in the future if there are more bosses that make a person heal immune.

Is the opacity for it set by the color of the debuff opacity? Or is all alpha opacity just set at 50%?

transparency is always controlled by the opacity slider of color of the debuff/status.

Is there a way to separate that opacity with the color opacity. Cause if I set opacity to 50% that means the alpha frame is 50% but the color of the debuff is also 50%, so it's like double 50%.

I set the debuff to change the color of the persons name as well as alpha.

Like your range indicator has it separated, it has its own alpha opacity slider.

In version 888, a new global alpha value can be configured for the alpha indicator (Indicators -> Alpha -> Layout Tab),

when this global alpha value is set the opacity provided by the statuses is ignored and instead the specified global alpha/opacity value is used.
