"Magic" debuff status doesn't work with "Icons" indicator #823

What version of Grid2 are you using?

    latest - 955

What game client version (windows or mac) and language are you using ?

    windows - wow v8.3.0 (33941)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Add the Magic debuff status to an Icons indicator, and observe that only one magic debuff is shown when the player has two.

The number of icons was set to 6

For example -- Port Fogtide (Stormsong Valley 67,40) - Tidebound Corsairs and Frothing Tidebloods. Both of these mobs apply magic debuffs. Only one of the magic debuffs shows up in the Icons indicator.

Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled?

    no

Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one?

    don't know

Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).

Please provide any additional information below.

I tried it with all addons disabled -- same result

Both the debuffs show up individually, just not together

If I instead use a "Debuffs" status then I see multiple debuffs. However I also see non-magic buffs that I do not want, such as Dazed.

Hope you can help with this.

Working as intendend. Magic debuffs status only provides an icon. The only statuses that displays multiple icons on the icons indicator is the "Buffs" (plural)  and "Debuffs"(plural) statuses.

OK, I suspected that might be the response!

Can I therefore make a feature enhancement request that the Buffs and Debuffs statuses gain a spell type filter?

I would like to only show magic/curse/disease/poison debuffs and exclude other debuffs that tend to be in the 'other' category such as Dazed, corruption effects, heroism exhaustion and so on.

-Debuffs status already have a filter, there are two posibilities a blacklist (exclude debuffs) or a whitelist(display only listed debuffs). Buffs status have a whitelist filter.

-I have added multi-icons display to the magic/poison, etc, debuffs statuses in r949-beta version.

That's a good change, thank you very much.

May I ask a related question about how the multi-icons display works?

If I have multiple statuses (magic, disease, poison, curse, etc) attached to a multi-icons display, will it show a *mixture* of debuff types if they are present? For example, if I have a magic and a disease debuff, will it show those two next to each other (rather than on top of each other?)

Debuffs types are not mixed, they are displayed in attach order. If you attach magic + diseases, all magic debuffs are displayed first, then all diseases.

You can setup a border size different than zero, and enable "use status color" for the border in icons indicators setup, in this way the border is painted using the debuff type color (green= disease, blue=magic, etc)

Thanks. I think I can get what I want in r949.
