The default number format adds a "k" once the number becomes over 1000. So 2300 becomes 2.3k. 

Can an option be added to allow 4 or more digit numbers without shortening. 

Are you requesting this feature for classic or for retail version ?

In retail the health numbers are very big, is there some reason  to display so big numbers without shortening in retail ?.

Yes for classic, unlikely i think we would ever see a single heal exceed 9999 in classic, and for example the difference in text length between 2.5k and 2500 is minimal.

Player HP does sometimes exceed 10000 especially for tanks, so if the number was 5 digits possibly would make sense to shorten but most players have HP less than 10000 most of the time and even a 5 digit number is probably still manageable in the frame. In any case the option of where to set the shortening i.e. 3,4,5 digits etc would be a nice feature.

Could even be useful in retail, the current format would be default but can't see any harm in having the option. 

More of a personal preference i guess but i find it a bit confusing when the number format is constantly changing especially when there is alot of healing spells that are around 1k e.g. i see an incoming heal for 921 then the same spell crits but now it is displayed as 1.2k. 

There are already options to change the duration and time formats under General>Text Formatting in the options menu, so i guess it would make sense if it would go there.

I added a "Shorten Numbers" option for each health/heals/overhealing status in classic version r970-alpha.

Goto Statuses -> Health&healths>health-current/heals etc. to disable the option and display the full number.
