Grid2 not showing my predicted healing #858

What version of Grid2 are you using?

     r966

What game client version (windows or mac) and language are you using ?

     Windows, English

What steps will reproduce the problem?

      Healing
Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled?

      Yes

Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one?

      No

Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).

Please provide any additional information below.

When I heal myself or another player, grid2 only shows that the player is being healed, rather than the amount of health they will receive. So I cannot see on my frames the amount a player is being healed for, only that they are being healed by me. This is an issue with my predictive healing, but also occurs for others'.

    Classic

  • michaelsp posted a comment Jul 29, 2020

In classic all players must install grid2 or another addons shipping libhealcom4 library, like:

Injector, Shadowed Unit Frames, Pitbull4, Vuhdo, VisualHeal, PerfectRaid, X-Perl, BobsToolbox, Stuf Unit Frames, oUF (with oUF_HealComm4 plugin + support), HealAssign, Grid, IceHUD

That's the issue. I don't get predicted heals when I have grid2 installed.

  • michaelsp posted a comment Jul 29, 2020

The other players in your party/raid must have grid2 or libhealcom4 library installed too.

PD: After rereading your first post, how do you know that a player is being healed ? Which kind of indicator are you using to display this information ? Maybe you are using a profile created by another player, and the profile does not display this kind of info ? Grid2 can be configured in multiple ways. If this is the case, you must configure the Grid2 profile to display this information assigning incoming-heals status to some text indicator.

Sorry - I don't think I explained my problem correctly.

When I heal someone, I cannot see on grid2, the way I can on blizz's UI with healcomms, the proportion of their healthbar my heal will refill.

What's weirder is that I can see the amount other people's heals will heal.

Maybe you did not check the "Include player heals" option in the incoming-heal status configuration (Statuses/Health&Heals/incoming-heals). By default grid2 only displays heals of another healers.

I didn't do that because I've got it set to a different colour on 'my heals incoming' - but when I tick that option it shows. Is there anyway to get two different colours for my/other healing and for it to show the quantity of healing?

Sorry, but i don't understand what you mean, you are saying opposite things on each post. Blizz UI with healcomm displays  direct heals + heals over time (not your heals+others heals) so you cannot replicate the same behaviour.

Which status is not working (not displaying heal info), heals-incoming or my-heals-incoming ?

my-heals-incoming is the status that does not work.

But blizz frames with healcomms does display them.

I actually found out what the issue was, my-heals-incoming was on a low priority on the frames so it was always overshadowed my someone else's healing.
