What version of Grid2 and game type (classic or retail) are you using ?
Grid2: 1.1.2.0Wow retail: 9.0.2.37474
What game client version (windows or mac) and language are you using ?
Wow retail: 9.0.2.37474 ,English
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Not entirely sure as I don't know exactly what is causing it to happen - in my case it's "be in a raid (heroic specifically, not sure if it's happening elseware) in Nathria". Raid size when this was occurring was 12-15 people
Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled?
I did not
Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one?
Not sure - it's possible people have been missing for a while and I only just noticed recently.
Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).
No visible errors - I'll install bugsack if necessary but I wanted to create something before I forgot for another week.
Please provide any additional information below.
What seems to be happening:
- in a raid of 12-15 people, we had 3 groups:-- tanks-- dps and healers-- group 3 - a handful of other DPS
From what I noticed, the people in group 3 would not show up when I had the Layout configured "By Role". If I switch to "Group and Role" they show up. If I click through other layout options, the missing folks would show in some of them, but not others - by role with pet, they would not show. By group, they would show.
I confirmed show all groups was on. I also tried creating a custom layout, that was able to span more players per column, and while that changed the layout and size of the frame, the missing folks did not appear.
Install 2.0.0-alpha version.
1. Goto General/About tab and enable "Grid2" toggle (in Debugging section).
2. Goto Layouts/General tab and uncheck the "Use Blizzard Unit Frames" option.
Report back if this fix (or not) the issue.
Warning: Disabling the "Use blizzard unit frames" option, units cannot join or leave the raid while in combat, so a new player joining the raid will no be visible until combat ends.
Great thank you Michael, I will give these steps a shot.My guild raids Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I won't get a chance to try and reproduce until Tuesday. I've gone ahead and switched to the 2.0.0 alpha, and made those config changes so things will be ready.
Hey Michael - raiding right now with 22 folks, all of them showing in the frame, and with my preferred Layout of "By Role" configured :)
Currently on 2.0.1 alpha
