HealPoints
HealPoints is a healer gear benchmark addon similar to TankPoints for tanks. It is designed to make it easier for healers to choose the most optimal gear, balancing
- Intelligence
- Mana Regen
- Spirit
- Spell Power
- Crit Rating
- Spell Haste
It displays all your relevant basic stats as well as HP/sec
, HP/mana
, etc. for all your healing spells. It also displays a few more advanced benchmarks:
- PowerPoints: focused on healing output over a short period
- EndurancePoints: focused on healing output over a long period
HealPoints detects and supports all relevant talents and almost all set and equip bonuses.
You can view your current HealPoints by typing:
/hp calc
Your HealPoints, PowerPoints and Endurance points will also be displayed on your paperdoll.
If you have a LibDataBroker feed view (e.g. TitanPanel) then you will see:
- a feed containing your current HealPoints
- a tooltip showing the value of relative stats
HealPoints contains a calculator that lets you manipulate the basic stats and see how they affect your spells and overall healing efficiency.
Yes
Turn on the debug mode using /healpoints debug
Then look at the item again and detected stats should be listed in the console. Anything wrong there? Btw, changes in set bonuses are not included in the tooltips.
Using the debug function on what I believe to be the better item shows:
INT: 20 HEAL: 76 SPI: 18 Replaces these bonuses : INT: 24 HEAL: 78*
The tooltip says (-233)
Using the Healpoints calculator on the same stats shows: INT: (-4) HEAL: +2 SPI: +18 = HealPoints +3373
Since I installed the latest version, my tooltips are not accurately displaying the same info as the character sheet and the calculator. When I mouseover a pair of bracers in my bag (Bands of the Benevolent) the tooltip tells me they are 227 Healpoints worse than what I have equipped (Veteran's Mooncloth Cuffs), although the calculator suggests that this piece of gear should be better by 3222. When I actually equip the item, the Healpoints number in the character screen goes UP by 3018. Either way, the tooltip which said the item was worse appears to be wrong.
Incidentally, the Veteran's Cuffs have a +8 Int gem and a +2 Spell damage socket bonus, neither of which come anywhere close to accounting for the discrepancy. Both have the exact same healing bonus (+46) and the exact same healing enchant (+30).
I tested a bit with the latest version of RatingBuster today and couldn't find any problems. Anyone still having issues?
A similar addon that works with HealPoints, is Cartographer.
All you need to do is whisper to yourself and link the items you want to compare. It's an extra step but at least this way you can see what healpoints thinks about a piece of gear until the issue gets addressed.
If AtlasLoot makes its own tooltips, HealPoints won't work with it. Do tooltips work with items on AH?
I've disabled all my other addons and made sure the "tooltips" option was on. It isn't working at all for me.
I'm using AtlasLoot
No, should work just with Holy Light.
How are you looking on tier 5? Inspecting people? Chat links? Some kind of database addon?
My Paladin is level 10 and I'm using Healpoints to help choose gear for instances. Right now, I am mousing over some of the tier 5 stuff and their heal points are not showing up. Do I need Flash of Light to make this work?
Should be fixed in 2.6.2. (silly bug). Thanks for the help.
HP/Cast for LHW(7) reports: 2175 that seems correct to me.
the /healpoints bscan reports correctly the 3% reduction on LHW
Can you do a '/healpoints bscan' to see if all bonuses are detected correctly by HealPoints?
Does HP/Cast look correct for LHW(7)?
I have 154mp5 while casting and 252 while not. 2 items T5 set bonus (Cataclysm set) that gives: "Reduce the cost of you Lesser Healing Wave spell by 3%.
Eh... that sounds a bit excessive. How much mp5 do you have? Any set bonuses / equip bonuses / totems related to LHW?
I'm getting for LHW(7) HP/mana: Infinite Tot HP(-r): Infinite Tot HP(+r): Infinite
is that normal ?
Not currently, no. I'll try and see if I can find an easy way around it.
sooo... HealPoints won't work with RatingBuster? That ist sad to hear, I really liked HealPoints, but RatingBuster is essential to me :(
