Addon Description Magic Runes is a set of bars displaying rune cooldowns. It's meant as either a replacement or addition to the normal Blizzard rune display.
Although each of them have different frame levels (still), in r31 I have a higher base frame level. The reason for the differing levels is to make overlapping icons (there are displays where this is the case) always overlap in the same order. When the frame level was the same, the order was random and it looked bad. :)
Before the bar ID was the frame level. Now it's that + 100.
Brilliant addon, agree with clesh, would be lovely to see it expand to cover more for DK class in general, incuding a disease counter and even things like reminder bars for buffs like bone shield etc!
I'm not against adding more features such as this. A disease timer _for the current target_ is a possibility (however I don't want to or plan to make it a general multi-target disease timer).
Absolutely perfect addon. I realize that this might be out of the scope of this Addon, but have you considered adding a tracking function for diseases? Having two additional bars to track Frost Fever/Blood Plague would make the mod complete for me.
So i downloaded the mod because of what I saw in one of the screenshots (which other mods haven't shown yet).
It's the one titles "Animated icons without bars". It appears there that you can move each individual rune wherever you want. However, I did not find this possible in the actual mod.
If there is a way to set it up like that (to be able to move each rune individually), then please help me out. Otherwise I would like to suggest adding the option to move the runes and the RP counter.
What you see in that picture is actually the same thing as the one left of it, with the bars, except the bars are now shown so you only have the icons moving from side to side.
Thus, invisible bars, with the icons showing where the bars end would be.
I tryed typeing /magrune config and everything in between that, and still wouldn't open up a config menu. That goes same for the going to the addons tab, it doesnt show up only my SCT shows up. I tryed turning all addons off and still no go. The addon itself is working fine but it doesnt let me mess with it at all. Help?
Which version do you have installed? Also sorry for asking, but you did try this on a death knight right? It doesn't load on other classes (not implying stupidity here, just making sure). There shouldn't be any loading issues but it's possible there are some broken dependencies.
Best rune addon hands down. So many configurations. I like that you can have them going vertically also, and the fact that you can use Shared Media. They all match every other bar I have on screen. Thanks for the addon.
As you're probably aware, there seems to be an issue with alpha levels. I have 3 of them set to 0.2 with Active in combat set to 0.8. If I open with a rune ability such as icy touch, the active runes will not become 0.8 for the entire fight. However if I open with death grip or any other non-rune ability the bars function as one would expect.
