PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

<- pb3 set-up
struggling trying to get pb4 to do this.
Perhaps you create one that looks even more cool than you PB3 style!
Do you have specifics of where you are getting stuck? From what I've seen it should be quite do-able with PB4
@ movies and jimy:
PB3 = each individual frame had its own layout, if you liked a layout you couldn't use it again without replicating your steps each and every place you wanted to use it. PB4 = make as many or as few layouts as you like and then apply them to the frames you like.
So if you want the same thing as PB3, just make that many layouts. If you prefer not to replicate your work, just make as many layouts as you need.
Details on making layouts can be found in the guide... linked above
I am having similar issues with getting my frames set up how they used to be since switching. All I would like is the option to remove certain things from some of the unit frames. Like turning on auras for the Player frame, but still keeping them on the Target frame and things like that. It was my favorite thing in Pitbull 3 and I can't seem to find that same functionality in Pitbull 4 atm.
I'm having a very hard time setting up my frames to what I want since switching from Pitbull 3. What I'm trying to do is set up 3 types of frames for 3 different situations. I want one set of frames for just soloing, another set of frames for 5 man groups and another set of frames for 10/25 man raids (essentially the same since all I'd do is add 3 more rows of 5 for 25 man) I can't get it right at all. Too many dropdown boxes, renaming stuff, pointing it to the right one, i'm just lost.
All I want for solo is my box w/ HP, mana and cast bar, all in upper left hand of screen. Target w/ health mana and cast bar in lower middle part of screen.
All I want for party is 5 bars horizontally across lower middle of screen w/ HP mana and cast bar. NO my player box since I'd want that showing in the 5 bars horizontally. And the target box in the top middle of screen with HP mana and cast bar.
For raid, I want 5 rows of 5 (for 25) or 2 rows of 5 (for 10) in the lower middle of screen ONLY showing HP. NO player box again, and again, target in upper middle of screen. Also, I want no cast bars at all.
Can anyone really help me here? I loved how easy PB3 was and just think this one is exactly the opposite. It would really be appreciated because this is all bugging the hell out of me and I want to actually play WoW soon :)
Also, the auras don't respond to right clicking to remove a buff, ie right click on fortitude to remove the buff. Is a bug or am I missing something??
Removing buffs by right clicking is now a protected function (added in 4.0) until a new aura module can be writtn this function is not available. You will need to use a /cancelaura macro or the Blizzard buffs to right click.
@Vimes something that's been talked about but never got around to designing was some sort of notification system and then using that instead of one offs for things like aggro, debuffs, etc... Aggro can actually be shown several ways, but an icon isn't one of them.
@ukingsken, Pretty sure you're doing something wrong since I know my instructions are correct.
@H0pe - See my response on Curse.
