Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Not everyone likes change, no matter how inevitable it may be. If you had some specific things you liked in PB3 vs PB4, that kind of feedback is appreciated.

Absolutely!

The Name Text is not in any way tied to the HP bar or the HP Text (other than possibly as an anchor)

If its the HP text you want to turn off then go to Text and uncheck "enable" under Lua:Health

If its the HP Bar you want to turn off... go to the Text, Make sure your Lua:Name is anchored to something other than the HP bar. Go to Bars > Health Bar and uncheck Enable

Notes about PitBull4 under 4.0.1:

Canceling buffs from PitBull4 frames is no longer possible (due to the function becoming protected), you'll have to use /cancelaura BuffName Please do not open tickets on this issue, it's known and the solution for it is providing another much more limited Aura module.

The built in aura filters are going to be very incomplete for most classes. If you see something missing from them please post and let me know.

There may be problems. Please take reasonable debugging steps before reporting problems. Try reproducing the problem without other addons enabled. Verify that you have upgraded (/pb and check the version in the top right corner of the cofnig screen against the most recent version).

Yes there are modules for Eclipse, Holy Power and the new Soul Shards mechanic.

How do I get the regular raid frames to work with pitbull installed? I like the new raid frames blizzard has in 4.0.1, but can't get them to be enabled without disabling pitbull entirely.

I believe you can achieve this already. Simply make a new text for combo points, and using either LuaText or DogTags write the code for what you want to see.

Remember if you want to use DogTags you will need to enable that first.

Go under Modules > Aura > Filters > Advanced
There are several types of filters already in place you can set to "show" as options in the layout editor. You can also build a new "meta" filter using those options and show that special filter.

To get those filters to show up under the layout editor you need to change the "Display When" drop down box.

Hey, I used to put my party frames at the left side of the screen, and yesterday I decided to try new Raid Frames, I loved Pitbull, so I'm usin it now, the problem is when I inspect, open spell books, talents, etc, the party frames stays in the front of the panels so I can't see them. How can I put it behind the panels?

Try adjusting the Strata and Frame level on the layout editor. (Layout Editor > General > Strata) If you have set the frame layer at the high end(50) or the strata at "Tooltip" it will replicate the issue you are having.

Ouch.. thanks to you Shefki i found my mistakes: I had r201 of LibDogTag-Units installed and... ...i forgot to install LibDogTag itself.... DOH! <.<
