Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Hello, I'd like to know what are the differences between the AND and OR operators in auras meta. For example, I want the target frame to show my debuffs and boss'. Should I use AND or OR? I tried with AND, but it didn't work quite well (my debuffs were missing).
AND means BOTH conditions need to apply to show for the filter, OR means EITHER condition. So in your case OR is correct.
Not sure if this is an error, or if it's intended, but whenever I use the Warrior "teleport" from the order hall, my character's unit frame flickers with the meteor visual (bright/fire like flickering) until I reload my UI. It's making me not be able to use an animated visual for the warrior.

hi, am i the only one who still has this problem with the texts for the power bar updating slowly? the bar itself works fine, but the texts skip when it's regenerating, this happens for both player/target frames (i play a Hunter and my focus updates by every 8-10 focus)

to anyone else who needs a little more direction, go to whatever layout -> Texts -> Current text (Lua:Power) -> Events (UNIT_POWER_FREQUENT)
Didn't have the debuff aura's highlight for tonights raid. the blue highlight for dispellable magic, green for toxics etc ... I use v4.0.11-6-g2e14dc6
Have you encountered the raid frames not populating everyone in battlegrounds? I have had it a few times not showing the last person after the BG has started and the player joined.
Blizzard bugs, happens with the default ui, too. Use to be a huge problem in stuff like LFR when people dropped/joined during a fight. Not sure it's as prevalent now a days, but still happens.
So I reactivated after being away for two years, and I am having an issue with shields. I guess it's part of the default UI that shields are shown, and as a mage with ice barrier, I'm having an issue where the shield hp bar is being tacked onto the right of my regular hp bar. I am having difficulty finding in the options where this may be changed. Worst case scenario, can I just disable it? Ideally I'd love to have my hp bar have a little overlay that shows how much damage I can absorb.
Other -> Visual heal is the module that shows the extra bar for absorbs and incoming heals, you can clamp it or disable it there. To show how much you can absorb, you can create a text that updates on UNIT_ABSORB_AMOUNT_CHANGED and format UnitGetTotalAbsorbs(unit) how you like.
Can't even configure unit frames individually, ergo, either no buffs displayed on any unit frame including player and target.
Or buffs for every unit frame including target of target of target, or focus's target.
Ill just not play the game until the people from Shadowed Unit Frames are done updating their far superior addon.
Worst addon i've ever tried.
[Edit] forgot to add, that this puppy counts 46 folders in total, more than ALL my other addons combined.... genius!
I'm afraid to say that it's your own misunderstanding on how to use Pitbull. You absolutely can configure each unit frame and group separately.
It's the whole focus of the guide in the description above....
With Pitbull you create frame layouts and then choose individually which unitframes and groups use which layouts. You can have every frame use the same layout, or every frame use a completely different layout.
The reason it has so many folders is so that it is modular - only what you want to use needs to be loaded. Shortens your loading times, keeps it neater and also means others can write plug-ins more easily in order to add features that some but not everyone would want.
You sure are some kind of special.
also, i know it's a hard concept to grasp, but the more folders the better. an addon with 1 folder has to load it's entire content into memory even if you only use 1/10th of the functionality. the more module (folders) the addon, the less it wastes your memory. i get it though, it's an OCD nightmare, but really, in game is where it counts :D
The 10/26 update doesn't seem like it fixed the framerate hitch related to particle effects. The manual fix posted in the comment thread didn't fix it either though, so maybe that was a separate issue?
Errors should be silenced now. Was waiting for LibPlayerSpells to get updated before tagging.
Also, before you decide to fix things yourself or edit files as directed by someone else that fixed things themself, you should try switching the "release type" in the client to alpha or just manually download the latest files on the project site.
hi, the power bar texts don't seem to update consistently ever since the patch:(
