Quartz

Table of Contents

Quartz is a modular approach to a casting bar addon. An overview of (hopefully most of) the modules:

*Player
The core of Quartz is lightweight implementation of a standard casting bar, with configurable size, text and icon positioning, and colors.

*Target/Focus
Implementation of target and focus casting bars in similar fashion to the player cast bar.

*Buffs
Display of target and focus buffs and debuffs as duration bars.

*Flight
Hooks into FlightMap or InFlight to display the current flight progress on your casting bar.

*Global Cooldown
Displays a tiny spark-bar to show your Global Cooldown near the cast bar. Helpful for those who'd rather not squint at their action bars to see when they can cast again.

*Interrupt
Changes the color and text of your casting bar to help show that your cast has been interrupted (and show who interrupted it).

*Latency
Displays the amount of time spent between cast send and start events, in the form of a bar at the end of your casting bar, with optional text that displays the actual duration of the lag. This helps in canceling casts when they will not actually be interrupted, especially for users with consistently high pings.

*Mirror
Shows the 'basic' timers such as breath and feign death, as well as some 'odd' ones such as party invite time, resurrect timeout, and arena game start, and a framework for injecting custom timers into the bars.

*Range
Recolors the casting bar when your cast target moves out of range mid-cast.

*Swing
Displays a swing timer for your melee weapon as well as hunter autoshot.

*Timer
Allows for creating custom timers displayed on the mirror bars.

*Tradeskill Merge
Merges multiple casts of the same tradeskill item into one big cast bar.

Use /quartz to bring up the configuration menu.

That happened to me last version, have not tried new one yet for fear of the same thing happening. I miss Quartz though, hope it is resolved soon :(

this happens to me for DoTimer and ClassTimers, but not for Quartz. Seems like Blizzard implemented something the authors didn't know about :)

Buffs from by target-castbar arent resetted.
Went through Underborg hero a few minutes ago and after renewing partymembers or giving them a prayer of mending, that buff didnt reset after expiring.
As a result, each partymember had buffs from renew, inspiration and prayer of mending with zero seconds left.

Same problem here, each party member has a lifebloom/motw/thorns buff with 0 second remaining, and its stuck on that. doesnt change even if i refresh my buff. its just stuck at 0sec, Relog fixes it tho, but then again it happens over and over. I hope it get fixed, cuz i love quartz, thanks.

After the patch I installed the new version and it works on one of my characters but no the other. Even when I type /quartz nothing happens on one of the characters.

since today quartz doesn't work anymore, I've got no castbar.
Any1 withe the probleom, or perhaps with a solution ?

To all the people asking about moving the cast bar...

1) Type /quartz
2) click on Player under Mirror
3) Uncheck the "Lock" box

There seems to be a r8 version on wowace, though I'm not sure if that's out/ready for release yet.

Having said that, my game is repeatedly crashing whenever I try to log into any of my characters. I've managed to isolate the problem to Quartz, so I'm hoping that a new release will fix this issue. Prior to that, this mod was one of the best things out there, so keep up the good work :)

how do you move the bar? i ahve my bartender bars covering it up and cant find the option to move the cast bar

When i focus someone an error comes and the buffs/debuffs from my target simply reset and don't appear again. And the focus buffs/debuffs don't appear too.

Something odd about the focus debuffs. It always shows up as 832 minutes (and I know my entangling roots and bleed effects don't last that long!). (I can't say whether buffs are also affected as I don't use them.)

I have the same problem with the Focus debuff timer. Everything else works fine.

great addon. Can't play without it.
