Quester
Quester enhances the questing experience by improving upon the built-in Quest UI, smoothing some rough edges and providing a few enhancements.
Quester was inspired by SmoothQuest and the add-ons SmoothQuest was based on before it. It is designed entirely for the new questing experience in Warlords of Draenor, and will not function in Mists of Pandaria.
Quester performs following enhancements:
- Quest levels in the quest log, on the map, in the quest tracker, in NPC dialogs, everywhere!
- Difficulty coloring of quests
- Progress coloring red -> green of objectives in the quest tracker
- Quest progress sounds:
- "More work?!" when an objective is completed
- "Job's Done!" if the quest is complete
- Two sound sets: Alliance Peasant and Horde Peon
- Colored quest details in unit and item tooltips
- Objective and quest information is send through LibSink-2.0, and can be fully re-routed
- Highlight of the most valuable quest reward (in gold value)
- Move the Objective Tracker to wherever it fits into your UI!
Many of the functions of Quester can be individually turned on/off and configured through the Interface AddOn options, or through /quester
Not sure either. I turned ALL my addons off and only loaded Quester and it's doing the same thing. So it's specifically this addon causing it. I took a screenshot but not really sure where a good place to host the pic is. I can email it to you if you'd like. Just send me a PM with your email and I'll shoot it over to you.
Unfortunately Blizzard broke this. Still trying to figure out if there is something to be done.
Anymore on this? or is it a case of wait and see what happens when legion launches? I can't believe they haven't fixed it tbh.
How can I change the color of the Quest name when picking it up? Using ElvUI and the text is black.

The translator in use. Sorry.
Lock the add-on takes on a particular character
Would you have any way to remove the lock function of the add-on?
I'm experiencing an issue where the quest tracker box is stuck in the upper part of the screen and I can only move it up and down about 50 pixels. It started off lower, then I moved it up, and now I can't move it back down.
Additionally, the box is in the same place for all of my characters. Is that intended? I like to have different UI layouts for characters based on what activities they're doing (questing, raiding, pvp, etc).
Possible to add an collapse option for raids ?
Also dbm call a hide objectivetracker function which doesnt work on quester though.
Can you add an option to disable the quest tracker taint warning? I'm using !QuestItemButtonFix to solve this problem, so these errors are pretty useless.
Alternately, can you simply roll QuestItemButtonFix into Quester to get around the taint issue entirely?
Is it possible to disable progress coloring of objectives in the quest tracker?
I was able to disable progress coloring from the quest tracker with a quick script change.
Within the installed mod folder, open Quester.lua and replace line 797 with:
Thank you!
This doesn't work with the latest version.

Is there any way to totally disable difficulty coloring? I unchecked all three boxes but my objectives are all still showing as red.
The objectives are not difficulty colored.
I am running into an issue where when I try to use a quest item from the tracker, it doesn't seem to do anything, it's as if I didn't click at all. When I disable Quester, I can use the quest item without any trouble. I love the addon and would prefer to run with it on, but it is getting frustrating to have to open my bags to use items when questing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!
Having an issue with Quester not staying where I put it. Every time I move it, as soon as my quest log updates or I zone, it resets back to the default position.
Sounds like you're using another addon that tries to positon it.
Yep, you were right. It was ElvUI which has a built in movement system. So for anyone else with this issue, just move the quest tracker via ElvUI.
Thanks for the reply.
