SCT - Damage
Website - http://grayhoof.wowinterface.com/
What is it? - A mod that adds your damage to SCT. It provides a way for you to see your damage in a static location. This can be useful against large mobs like those in MC, Bosses, etc...Can use SCT animations or its on built in style.
What can it do?
- Your Melee, Spell, Skill, Periodic, and Pet Damage - Spell Damage/Resists and Damage Type (by color) - Can show damage at enemy nameplates - Target and Spell ID's - All "Miss" events (dodge, block, immune, etc...) - Custom Colors for all text events and crits. - Ability to show only target damage - Ability to Turn SCTD on/off in PvP - Four Fonts to choose from - Can disable built in WoW damage - Sliders for text size, fade speed, and on screen placement (with custom editbox) - CTMod, MyAddons, Cosmos, Cosmos2 support - Localized to work in almost all WoW clients.
How do I use it? - First you must have SCT installed already. Next, unzip SCTD it into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Now just run WoW and once logged in, type /sctdmenu to get the options screen or you can click the SCTD button on the SCT options menu.
FAQ How do I remove the damage the scrolls above my targets head? - WoW itself does this. You can turn it off by checking the the "Disable WoW Damage" option, or by going to the Advanced Options under Interface options.
My Wow Damage won't turn back on, even after I turn off SCTD! - You need to turn this back on manually in WoW. Go to Advanced Options under Interface options and you will see a checkbox to enable damage. Also, it is highly recommended you don't use the "Enable Wow Damage in PvP" option if you are on a PvP server.
My peridoic damage is not showing up in the combat log or on the screen! How do I fix it? - You have turned off periodic damage on the Advanced Options under Interface options. Make sure the "Periodic Damage" check box is checked, even if you have Damage unchecked.
SCTD damage is ontop of my SCT messages, how do I fix this? - I highly suggest you move SCT's message using the sliders on the SCT option menu. You can also move SCTD using the sliders on its menu. Consider placing it over you target bar.
How do I reset SCTD or load another users settings? - SCTD is tied directly to SCT. You can reset SCTD using SCT's reset button or typing /sctreset. You can load another users SCTD settings by loading them from the SCT option menu.
How do I change the fonts? - You can select from four fonts on the options page.
I don't like enemy nameplates on. How do I make my damage appear over who I hit? - Enemy nameplates have to be on in order to show your hit over the enemy heads. SCT will turn them on if you turn on the option, but you must manually turn them off if you don't like it (see Target keybindings).

The menu with the last patch does not work
anyone having an issue where this addon is cause friendly name plates to keep turning on.. ive already gone through and made sure it was this addon causing it. turned all addons off. turned this one on. turned friendly name plates off. log out. came back on it there where back on. does it every time for me.
Is someone handy enough to config this whole addon into SCTH(Scrolling Combat Text - Heals)? Exact same settings and such just replaced with outgoing healing.
I cant seem to get rid of the Targets Name that I heal using only SCT for heals and would love the 'Only Target' option as well.
Big THANK YOU Orsalon,
Just a few changes all works fine again :-)
I managed to get it working again for me. The problem is the "PlaySound" function, since it doesn't use strings anymore but the sound ID.
Just go into the sctd/sctd.lua and replace the strings in PlaySound("blablabla") into a equivalent number.
Same for sctd_options with the options.lua
You only have to change 3 lines for all that.
Here are the id's for the strings:
tyvm fixed my problem :)
To make this a bit easier for the hopeless like myself - be sure to exit the game entirely first then take the following steps.
1 ) Find your World of Warcraft Folder
2 ) In there you'll find the Interface Folder
3 ) In there you'll find the Addons Folder
4 ) In THIS folder you'll need to find the following additional folders
Inside we'll find the file we need to modify.
Each folder having a single file that needs our attention :
sct - sct.lua
sct_options - options.lua
sctd - sctd.lua
sctd_options - options.lua
Now comes the fun part !
HACKING ALL THE POLICE COMPUTERS !
Now we're in deep, boys and girls, LOOK AT ALL THOSE LINES OF CODE !
What do we do !?
How can I survive in the face of such madness !
Fear not, we're HACKING ALL THE POLICE COMPUTERS, remember ?
Once we do THAT - tiny goblins ( or gnomes if you're Alliance ) will find the first instance of said PlaySound and take you there like magic ( or vile sorcery if you're a melee type person )
The result will look a little something like this
PlaySound("igMainMenuOpen")
ENTER THE 1337 |-|4XX0r
Scroll up a bit on this very post and find where Orsalon the Friendly has posted all the number codes for whatever message you may find there. In this instance we find that "igMainMenuOpen" has a numerical value of 850, so we change our code.
PlaySound("igMainMenuOpen")
becomes
PlaySound("850")
please note that you keep the quotation marks and drop the comma. Yes, this is important.
Once that's done, you'll continue to click the find next button until you've found all instances of PlaySound and replace those strings with numbers as well.
When you've hacked all your PlaySounds go back up to the menu and click File and Save.
Close the window.
Repeat this process for the other files in the other three folders.
Finally, get back into the game and type /sct menu and all should be well.
Sit back and relish in the fact you beat the system yet again and laugh your most heinous laugh, for you have vanquished the horrible night.
That's all you have to do.
It sounds complicated, but it really isn't.
You'll be done long before the time it took for me to type this up.
Huge thanks to Orsalon for working this out for us plebs.
RIP no update in a year and can't use options cause of an error
\AddOns\sct\sct.lua line 210:
Usage: PlaySound(soundKitID, optional["SFX","Music","Ambience", "Dialog" or "Master"], [forceNoDuplicates, runFinishCallback])
Would it be possible to have it merge all damage from one ability/source? Playing enhancement shaman brings forth alot of numbers.
would be cool if crits were bold
I Installed the latest version of this and it says dependencies missing. Obviously it's not compatible with 7.1...
Can you please apply the damage on nameplate for kui nameplates?
https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/kuinameplates?page=2#c2089
hello again
after the patch i wanted to use nameplateaddons.
with tidy plates i was until recently able to use your option to show dmgnumbers above nameplates.
as far as i have seen, sctd anchors the dmgnumbers with this option at blizzard plates frame. atleast this was called in the tidyplate update which broke sctd option to show at nameplates.
is it possible to anchor the dmgnumbers another way, so that TP or KUI can show them at their nameplates?
would be really nice if this works, because its one of the main reasons I use SCTD.
I dont want to be annoying but I really get insane with this.
I cant tell how much I hate bliz for completly destroying their old nameplates.
thx in advance

Hi can I turn off damage and combat numbers on my targets with this mod?
Patch 7.0.3 | 31st July 2016
issue: damage numbers are showing but not anchoring correctly
in 7.0.3 i want to use a nameplateaddon like tidyplates or kuiplates
but with those nameplateaddons sctd cant show numbers over these nameplates.
i can see them above the standardnameplates, but with addons it only shows dmg in the frame.
is this just a bug or do i have to use standard nameplates to let sct behave like i want to
Great addon. Been using it for years and love it. I just came back to the game and the SCT:Damage does not work in pvp like BG's and arenas? Is this a setting I have missed or does the addon not support this? Ty!
Confirmed. This addon doesn't work in PvP environment at the moment. Is there any chance, that you fix this error in any short time? Blizzards integrated combat damage text is just super dumb since the new patch (tiny size, no real crits and so on). :-(
