The totem bar behaves weird. 

Note: for every one of these issues I also did a /reload to see if that would change anything. It didn't.

First off, choosing to have "Show icon durations" does nothing, it still remains a bar:

I assume from the name of the setting it was supposed to be icons instead

Second, the unit frame space for the totem bar is way bigger than what the actual totem indicators are, leaving the unit frame with a big black bar that's a waste of "unit frame real estate":

If I increase the height of the totem bar the black bar becomes proportionally smaller:

Finally, just to test that it IS the totem bar creating the issue, I removed the totem bar:

I really like the functionality that I can remove totems by right clicking, but it's a bit frustrating that there's so much wasted space that could help me keep an eye on my health better if it wasn't there.

As an additional test I moved the totem bar order to be in the bottom, which makes it even weirder, because now the shadowed area is above the mana bar:
