simpleMinimap

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

simpleMinimap is a module-centric addon for modifying and personalizing one of the center-pieces of any UI - the minimap. the core simpleMinimap mod has these features...

* left-click and drag the minimap anywhere
* hide and move the default minimap buttons
* zoom in and out with the mousewheel
* adjust the minimap's scale, outdoor alpha and strata
* bind a key to toggle the minimap and/or zoom it full-screen
* type '/smm' for a list of commands

simpleMinimap also comes with several modules. these modules can be disabled and/or the files can be deleted if you don't need or want access to the features. they are located in the simpleMinimap/modules folder...

* Autozoom - automatically zoom-out minimap after delay
* Compass - NSEW markings on the minimap
* Coords - small frame that shows map coordinates
* GUI - dropdown setup menus (default is right-click on minimap)
* Movers - allows movement of UI frames attached to the minimap
* Pings - popup frame that shows the minimap pinger's name
* Skins - allows for changing the minimap's skin (square, corner)

hey guys i have question about smm, is there anyway to remove all the buttons around minimap including the add-onn buttons?

simpleMinimap is causing taint that prevents the vehicle action bar from appearing if you enter a vehicle while in combat (for example when phase 3 starts in the Malygos fight). I have verifed this by both disabeling simpleMinimap and doing phase 3 again (then it works fine) and by entering a different vehicle (outside of the raid instance) with simpleMinimap enabled while in combat, and then it fails again.

The calendar wasn't showing up for me either until I noticed that my FuBar clock addon has an unsuspicious option called "Show/Hide Day/Night Indicator".
Since the good old day/night indicator has the same size as the calendar (and is at the same location) it is fairly safe to assume that this is the same window as well...

So if you don't see the Calendar check all your addons for an option that hides the day/night indicator of the minimap....

I'm having the same problems with movers as others. The Capture progress mover just snaps back to its original location after I turn movers off. The durability mover pops back to its original place if it updates (something goes yellow or red, or I repair)

Awsome addon, always use it but after a fresh wow reinstall my quest tracker wont show up unless i have mover frames moveable. How do i go about fixing this?

Good addon indeed.. But I have one problem:/
The skin is putted to Round.. but the minimap is still square. but all the other skins works.

Hi there. SMM does rock. Simple, slick and does all the things that a fully configurable map should do... except one, that I was wondering about. Is it possible to change the pointer (direction indicator that is kinda a whitish-blue) to a bigger, or more visible colour or more visible outline?

I have a problem with the search-symbol. I switch it to visible in the GUI menu but it's still missing. I can't use SMM without this funktion, because it's one of the most usefull tools to search for merchants, reputation or materials. Is this problem known and will be fixed? Meanwhile I have to use an other minimap addon. But SMM is my favorite one. Please fix it.

Phexia: Look at picture 3. The left side of this picture shows how the frame are attached to the minimap by wow default (wow default! smm is not changing this, expect you enable 'movers' and move them). If you move your minimap to the bottom of the screen this attached frames moves too.
If you want to move this attached frames: enable 'movers' -> move them around -> move your minimap to the bottom -> lock minimap

Is there anyway to unattach the acheivement tracker. I have moved my minimap down to the bottom of screen so when I try and use the tracker I can't see it because it's "attached" to the bottom of the mini map...

Ok, I checked this out with simpleminimap as the only mod enabled. It is not keeping the durability dummy where i place it. I turned movers on, moved the indicator to the left of minimap (so it wouldn't be covered by other screen elements) but after turning the movers back off it pops back, sometimes to its original position under the minimap, but sometimes it's actually further right than that, falling off the screen edge.

For anyone having a problem with the location bar always re-appearing on zone/rl the issue for me was SLDataText. As soon as I disabled this the problem stopped happening.
