I have been using Skada now for about a month, and have not had any issues with it. But this past week, it stopped working period. No error message, nothing.
I updated it today to see if it might have been just an update issue, but all afternoon while I was questing and then during the raid tonight, it was nowhere in sight.
I cannot get it to show up on my screen and does not work at all.
I updated this addon yesterday and redid all 3 of my wow game folders, and reinstalled my addons. Skada is still not even showing up on my screen nor does it work whenever I get into combat.
I've tried everything I can think of to figure this out without success. A little help here would be greatly appreciated.
I am unable to reproduce this problem, so any clues would be appreciated.
After installing the latest update, skada also failed to load for me with the error:
Cannot find a library instance of "LibBossIDs-1.0".
A reinstall fixed it though, not sure if curse client fucked something up or what happened there..
I am using another addon that works for me. So I've solved my problem by changing addons.
If you're still having this problem make sure you click the Skada button on your minimap to un hide it.
I did a complete UI clear. By that I mean I deleted all 3 WoW folders (Cache, Interface & WTF) today. I also deleted the addon manager I was using from curse. After logging back into the game I started from scratch and installed (manually) all my addons fresh, including a new copy of Skada.
After activating everything and rebooting my system, I finally was able to get it working. I have no idea what caused Skada to stop working. The icon was still showing on my mini map but the addon failed to work before I went through all this rigmarole.
I suspect it might have been a combination of things because I also had other issues as well that started to break some other addons. Sometimes you have to backup and start fresh to clear everything out. Its inherent in software installs that if you only update and not do a completely fresh install, that what changes were made from initial install through all the updates to the time when things go south, that some of the code gets corrupted or breaks entirely due to conflicts.
I am not a programmer but I've spoken with some friends who are programmers in real life and also are gamers. They indicated that this can happen easier than most folks realize.
