Sweetsour's Shaman Auras

Introduction

Like myself, I know there's a lot of people that enjoy the functionality that Weak Auras has to offer; in fact, some of you may remember the Shaman Weak Auras package I offered. Though, the one downside with Weak Auras when dealing with larger packages is multiple import strings and a somewhat sloppy installation process. In light of this, I've decided to make the whole process much easier for the end-user and offer a solution that has is far easier than having to setup a large Weak Auras package.

The addon has evolved from Weak Auras, so it has that familiar feel that you're used to. Thanks to thousands of users testing the addon, it has become something far greater than I originally expected!

How to Use

This addon has been designed to provide a high-level of customization, in terms of aura layout. It's a very simple process and can be achieved by doing the following.

/ssa - Access "Home" window in Interface Options
/ssa ele - Access Elemental customization options
/ssa enh - Access Enhancement customization options
/ssa res - Access Restoration customization options

Moving Frames

One of the most requested features was the implementation of being able to move all of the frames. It's very simple to do!

Type "/ssa <spec>".
Click the "Layout" tab.
Click the "Move <spec> auras" button to open the aura movement utility.
A grid will appear and the auras will become moveable.

What I would suggest trying is resetting the addon's saved variables (this won't affect any of your other addons).

Close WoW completely

Go to your WTF folder ("C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WTF" by default)

Continue to your SavedVariables folder

WTF\Accounts\<your account name>\SavedVariables

Delete the following files

ShamanAuras.lua

ShamanAuras.lua.bak

First of all thank you for a very nice addon.

My general chat is getting spammed by the text "testing". Can't shut it off. Please help. I updated it today.

I found out that it was your addon by systimatically shutting all my addons down one by one.

Same here. Had to do the same roundup. Have to confirm that the addon indeed spams chat with "Testing"

Is it possible to add a way to change number the way maelstorm flashes, i dont want it to flash at 90 but at 92+ (elemental). Maybe add an option to config.

Also, with the upcoming changes to Elemental in 7.1.5, will you be adding tracking to other elemental buffs (Like Power of Maelstrom) and Pristine Proto-Scale Girdle legendary.

Also with next patch we might have 2 different Rotations to deal with, will this be covered as well.

Being able to change the maelstrom trigger threshold is available. Simply type /ssa opt to access the advanced options

I plan on working on my addon in the PTR to try and get an update out as the patch is released.

EDIT: What change is coming for Power of the Maelstrom?

i tried to change via /ssa opt, but it only allows to change in +5 increases.

meaning a i can only use 90/95/100, it doesnt save when i type 92.

Also there is no changes per say with PotM, but it will be necessary to track it to maximise DPS, according to the guys testing the PTR.

bro i rly love the addon, but i got a little problem moving the frames idk if i'm missing something ,but when i tried to move the frames, the stuf just stay there, even when i toggle the "move X bar", the other problem it's the SS CD, just the bright thing appears with stormbringer proc, but when u don't proc and the skill it's avaible, the icon remais the same. BTW it's a great job dude((sorry my bad english))

I have the exact same problems. had to use old weakauras instead :/ the SS does not work properly.

I don't play Enhancement, unfortunately. Would you be able to provide a list of how Stormstrike is expected to behave? I'm sure I'm missing something.

it does not show the cooldowns (when it is on cooldown) and does not gray out when there is no maelstrom. It was quite confusing cuz couldn't really tell if I had SS available or not.

Laso have problem of lava lash icon linger when i change specs. Same with some redbar from resto. Elemental seems to be cool.

Hmm, odd. I thought I had fixed those issues with SS; I'll have to go back into it and fix it.

Thanks for reminding me of the lingering auras; I completely forgot about them.

After checking the checkboxes for the auras you'd like the move, are you clicking the "Unlock Auras" button?

when you say "the icon remains the same" do you mean the aura glow doesn't disappear as expected?

EDIT: yes, it was the resolution that won't let me see the unlock button((i play with 1366x768, conected the laptop to the tv)), very odd but at least now even the ss works well

sorry i was out of city lol.

i can't see the "unlock auras" button i think that maybe my screen resolution it's doing that ((i'll try change it)),

and the ss button don't show the remaining cd of the skill but that's it's not a problem now.

Is it possible the make all the auras disappear at all times and only show up while in combat?

I'm aware that you can lower the OOC Alpha but i'll still show up when I click on a unit ( npc, friendly, target)

Also, i noticed that when OOC with no target selected then auras disappear but not the CD text.
