What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
Appreciate the work you are doing to done to keep this mod up to date & relevant, Jack.
But...TitanTankPoints? Not nearly as relevant as it used to be.
Why not instead provide a LibDataBroker (LDB) feed addon for toggling it instead (more info here)? That way you can have it toggle through both any LDB display mod (that most people now use instead of Titan or FuBar) in addition to Titan (as Titan supports LDB feeds).
Also, any plans to haul the rest of the mod over to Ace3 in the future?
Nebular169 upgrade TankPoints to Ace3, as as well making the paperdoll stats compatible with 4.0.0.
Why did i add Titan Plugin? Cause i wanted to see the numbers there. i started to do it as a LDB, but then TankPoints is responsible for deciding on the left-click, right-click behavior, as well as the look of the tooltip. i want that to be the responsibility of the addon showing the tooltip, or providing a left-click or right-click. (Not everyone who exposes a dataObject would want the same tooltip).
Having Nebular's fixes for the paperdoll, it makes a plugin less valuable for people besides me - i guess i'll delete it from the public build.
It wasn't a "complaint" so much as a suggestion.
You can in fact with the current version of LibQTip-1.0 provide the look of the tooltip & data displayed as you want it from TankPoints. As well as put numbers or anything else in the LDB display feed.
But relying on the actual display addon to determine what & how you are feeding is no longer done. Its one of the whole purposes of LDB: to avoid having to rely on a specific display mod to provide plugin functionality. Which in the end provides people with a gigantic amount of display choice. Don't want a bar display? Have a block display instead. Want a bar mod but don't want anything fancy? Use something minimal. Want a bar-style display with tons of options? No problem. Etc. And hundreds of LDB mods provide all sorts of both display & tooltip data without issue. EDIT: and forgot to mention, as previously brought up, Titan can display LDB mods as well without a problem.
As an example, a "tank" LDB mod that provides numbers/text in the feed as well as full data in the tooltip: Broker_TankInfo. Another offhand example of a mod with full, detailed tooltip data & user-choosable text/data to put in the LDB feed: Broker_Currency. And so on.
Normally the data a LDB tooltip and/or display feed shows is modified (if the mod allows it) through the mod's options. Typically contained in the Blizzard options panel. One LDB mod that uses several "layers" of different tooltips to show what the user wants to see: EmoteLDB.
