TinyTip
<font>Please delete your all your TinyTip folders before upgrading to the latest version</font>
What is TinyTip? Well, it started out as just a simple upgrade over AF_Tooltip_Mini and exploded from there. Now it shares no code with what it used to be, becoming something more, while still staying true to its name. The core of TinyTip is basically just an upgrade over AF_Tooltip_Mini, a small file around 24KB. The more modules you allow to load, the more this value increases. The goal of TinyTip is to allow you to mix and match your modules while keeping the smallest memory footprint possible. All files except TinyTip.lua and its locale files are optional. You can take a look below, I've listed the optional files as "not required". If you don't use a file's features, you can safely remove it from the TOC.
Anyway, as you can guess, TinyTip changes the look of your GameTooltip. Here are the features found in core:

Troubleshooting

Q: TinyTip is preventing another tooltip addon from working.
A: Go into that other addon's TOC file and add/change this line to include TinyTip.
## OptionalDeps:
Q: I'm getting an error from TinyTip, or an option isn't working right.
A: 1) Check my WoWI portal to see if it's a known issue, and for updates.
2) Maybe your files are corrupt. Delete TinyTip, TinyTipExtras, and TinyTipOptions, then re-download them and install from stratch.
3) Your Saved Variable database may have gotten corrupt somehow. Try using /tinytip default and then /tinytip confirm to reset it.
4) If resetting your options doesn't work, exit WoW, delete all your Saved Variable files for TinyTip (global and per character), then restart WoW.
5) Leave a bug report on my WoWI portal.
Q: Where's the secret cow option?
A: There is no secret cow option.
Hey Thrae,
I wasn't able to find any version of TinyTip at the link you posted. Could you tell me how to get it? Love TinyTip and don't see any others that I like as well.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know that TinyTip v0.2 is nearing release candidacy. There are many reasons it took so long, one of them being that I had to basically rewrite it from scratch, the other being that TinyTip 1.x was pretty much stable until recently. You can always find my latest development at http://code.google.com/p/thrae-wow/, and also through WAU.
Having an issue with NotesUNeed and TinyTip. Hoping someone can help me. When I use the create a note from target feature of NuN I get this:
Error: attempt to index global 'this' (a nil value)
File: Interface\AddOns\TinyTip\TinyTip.lua
Line: 703
Any thoughts?
I'm running the latest from wowace.
any chance of this getting updated?
I mean, it still works ... but i despise out of date addons, and im wondering if i should start looking for a replacement.
looks like mobinfo to me. maybe had it at one time and forgot.
Looking for some help, it only does this on some of my characters - it shows the loot history of the mob i am killing, i'm not running any other special mods and i can't figure out why tinytip is showing this...see screenshot

I only want it to show the name of the mob and the target of target (which it does)
Okay I'm going to try my hardest to explain what it is I'm looking for, and find out if TinyTip can do this. I used to use TIpBuddy, and one of the things I liked BEST about it is that when I targeted someone, and then hovered over their portrait where I had them targeted, I would get their tooltip. (The default UI does that as well.) WIth TinyTip, I just get the "Player Options" window with info about what I can do if I right click on it. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the settings so that when I target someone and hover over their portrait, I get their tooltip and not the default game tip? Thanks in advance.
Jazy, you be mah hero
Ive used this add on for a while now, but just recently I tried to use the extra options. Now with the extra options, the tool tips stay right at the cursor and small. I can change the scale factor, and it shows it changing size, but as soon as I move the cursor over something else, it goes right back to the small size. Any ideas what could be causing this? Could another mod be effecting it? I dont think any other of the mods I use have a tool tip option. If so, is there a way to load TinyTip last to work better?
Jayz :D i LOVE you!!!!!! that download works:))))))
tytytytytytytytytytytytytytytyty you have NO idea how much trouble this has been causing me.
1. that page does not exist. 2. i have the parts of it installed Tinytip, options and extras.
It is installed. but.. if i type /tinytip in game. and press enter, it's as if i dident press enter at all.
if i f.ex type /TinyTip mjau it will say "TinyTip: "mjau" is not a valid command." So it is there..
Tooltip is the tinytip one, but where and how it is on default aint helping me much. rather in the way.
I have downloaded it, and i have removed it and downloaded again. here and from wowinterface.
Same problem. i had this problem on my old computer aswell, it would work for some chars but not for others, it even stopped working for one after a while.. and then one day it suddenly worked again. But since i got this comp i havent been able to access the menu at all.
And i cant seem to find this problem repported anywhere else so i guess i'm special as usual..
@CCL download Tinytip options: http://www.wowace.com/wiki/TinyTipOptions
I type /TinyTip Enter acts as if Disabled.
Cant enter menu since patch.
Anyone got a nice substitute for this addon if it's not fixed?
Error: attempt to call global 'GetFullScreenFrame' (a nil value) AddOn: TinyTipOptions File: Dewdrop-2.0.lua Line: 668 Count: 1
any help?
i cant access the GUI menu..
I really wish this mod worked when you hover over corpses. I'd be nice to have info on them too, ya know? Like CorpseInfo (http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=1203) used to do...

I've found the culprit to the tooltip displaying always at the centre of the screen. It seems that Assister has been causing problems. I tried Gymnast's "/gtanchor mouse" command to hopefully alleviate the issue, but that didn't help either. I've resorted to using Automation instead of Assister.
Just an update for those who may have TinyTip & Assister installed (or having similar issues).
i am having very annoying issue with the tooltip being right on top of my character's face i don't know how i can move it to the side or something.
I want to be able to see my character when i mouse over a mob, NPC or a character.
Someone help move this damn tooltip from over my chararacter's body please!!!
I thought TinyTip showed quest info in the tool tip if you moused over a mob you needed to kill for your quest? Say you are killing ogres and have killed 2 out of 12, TinyTip would show something like 2/12 in the tooltip. I used to use TinyTip a long time ago and it did this, the new version does not. Is it supposed to? All I see is mob name, mob type (humanoid, beast, demon, etc) mob level, and if it is hostile/neutral/friendly/etc.
Thanks
@Godzillamax When I initially used this mod, it never provided quest-related info. The extra tooltip info may have been added by another mod. For example: Extended Quest Log, which would append quest title(s) to the tooltip when you mouseover a given NPC and/or a quest item. There are other quest mods that will do this.
TinyTip just allows the ability of adding quest-related info to the tooltip; it doesn't fetch it from your quest log to display it. Unlike af_tooltip which does not provide this capability to display any additional info about an NPC other then the info from MobHealth/MobInfo and the like.
The only caveat I have with this mod is that the tooltip will always display at the centre of my screen, despite the fact that I've set both Frame and Unit anchors to the cursor (or anywhere else, for that matter). Anyone else having this issue? I've reverted back to AF_ToolTip_Extreme for the meantime as it displays the tooltip at the cursor. Sadly, AFTT doesn't display additional info like TinyTip does. :(
hi, i have the following problem:: i cant target a friendly player in our raid. im just getting a blank grey window if i mouseover a player. i have the newest tiny tip version from wowace.com/files
