However, every time I login with tomQuest2 enabled, the settings in the "Objectives" tab of the default interface (which unfortunately are account-wide) get changed around:
- "Instant quest text" remains selected, but doesn't actually function until I unselect it, hit ok, go back to the menu and select it again
- Automatic tracking of accepted quests / quests with an updated objective get turned off
- The extra options (movement, etc) for the default quest tracker gets turned on.
This irritates the hell out of me. Is there nothing at all that can be done to stop this from happening?
for the other two options I'll store the status of the option in a temp variable before modifying it and restore it to it's previous value when tomQuest2 is being disabled so this should fix your problem
An error message that kept popping up in r180:
dailyTooltip.lua:316: attempt to index upvalue 'dataobj' (a nil value)
Keep up the good work. :)
Unfortunately, I can't find any options for the module. It doesn't appear in my modules list and there's no sub-menu for it. There's no mention of it on a tab of any existing module. I also can't find any section for it in my saved variables file. I attemped to move my saved variables file to another directory to start fresh; it made no difference.
If I can make a suggestion, having auto-accept (and to a lesser extent auto-turnin) set to 'all quests' by default is not a good idea.
Many people may flop their way blinding through quests using QuestHelper and the like, but that should be a deliberate choice a player makes. Having the default set so that you don't have any interaction with quest NPCs as you level is needlessly dumbing things down. IMO, the default should be daily quests only, and auto-turnin set to off.
Cheers
H4sT3 can you tell me if r180 fixed your problem?
SmuvMoneu => in next release in case interaction is disabled in the tracker and quests / achievements are displayed by category then category content will be always shown
I had switched from fubar_questsfu to tomquest2 recently. I find your addon to be a great replacement. I did find an unusual bug. I have mouse interaction turned off on the quests tracker. I also had the tracker showing the zone/subzone headings. I had clicked (alt-clicked I believe) a quest from the LDB tooltip to add it to the tracker. The quest was from a dungeon whose heading had not been in the tracker. The heading was shown, but the quest for it was not. I had to turn on mouse interaction to "expand" the zone heading to see the quests below it. I guess that the default for newly added zone headings is collapsed. It makes sense if you have mouse interaction turned on. If you do not, you end up with the interesting issue above. Could this be rectified in some way? Thank you for your time.

Crazytoo this problem should be fixed in next release, ldb objects will be created only on the enabling of module. But in case the module is disabled it would need a reload to delete the ldb objects as I have no way to delete an existing ldb object
Crazytoo I'll check your problem
Thanks for the error fix so fast.
I am using Fortress (ldb) and I have quest mod and daily quest mod on. In the main tab - modules - I have unchecked Daily Quests Tooltip but the Daily Quest block is still there. I would like to turn it off please ?? TIA
