the fading it drives me nuts too! I hate it!
I was beginning to think it was me. I was sure there used to be a setting to control fading but just could not find it. Please add a way to configure this. I love this addon but that one behavior is really distracting. I want to turn off all fading and animations as well.
Thanks.
@KerbrosSM
I'm also getting this issue, I can live with most of it apart from the fading. The fading is driving me absolutely insane, especially since it appears to have zero control and will fade at random times (sometimes I can type an entire message and it will fade afterwards but then other times I will be mid sentence and it just fades lol).
I am also seeing the same errors with WIM following 6.0.2. Expose cannot be disabled neither can fading. To get the Window Behaviour bar to appear you need to move the WIM options window around a bit, but the display is all screwed up. I cannot press R and TAB to cycle through recent chats as in 5.4.8 either
Thanks
Does anyone know if the option to disable the pop-up of chat/whisper windows has been removed? I love the addon since I like having all the whispers from everyone in their own windows, but I don't like it that the windows are constantly popping up on my screen whenever I send or receive a message. You used to be able to disable that, but I don't see the option anywhere in the latest version of the addon.
I'd love to keep using the addon, but as things currently are I cannot.
Looking to disable ALL animations and ALL fading, its all super annoying. How do i get it so it doesnt swoop to a corner when i click the close button, and to stop fading when I dont mouse over. I used to be able to do this on older versions and even then it was hard to find but now it seems the options are just gone.
Using 3.6.19 and I noticed no history is being recorded period for any of the windows. It only keeps current logged in information and if you do a reload or exit game then it is deleted.
I am having a similar issue to the one I posted about back in March. The message history will save the messages from battle tag friends, but not those of any other people who whisper me. The messages are retained while I am logged in, but if I switch characters and then later come back to the original character who received the whisper, the history log does not show anything (neither whispers I sent nor whispers I received - unless from battle tag friends).
i have some bug when sending msg to ppl not in my friendlist. it does not display nor send them out. or it finaly does send them but a minute later or when the person is in the same zone. any1 know how to fix this?
Just wanted to let you know, I've been using WIM r428 in the beta. There are some missing features and functions, but it works as it should for the most part.
:)
Sorry if this was addressed already! I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that when I hit enter (which is the way I select the normal tabs in WoW to type into), it would select the last window I was in/the window that is open/the window that SHOULD still have focus. If I'm typing to someone and I hit enter, I still have to select their box again and type directly in it, otherwise hitting 'enter/return' automatically makes me type in the default WoW box. Not sure how to fix this, I could also just be dumb
hi i been having a problem with WiM inviting button about 90% of the time the button don't work i alway's have to end up right clicking the name in the chat window to invite alot of times it mostly just happens with battlenet friends but once in awhile it happens with anyone that whispers me to group up.
Awesome, thanks for the update!
I should read comments more often. I have no non battletag/battle.net friends so I didn't notice this until today so I didn't know to even look for it. For all intensive purposes the bug should never have occurred with my 5.4.7 fixes, but it did because my fix was being bypassed entirely by something I didn't notice. When curse is actually packaging things right, I'll tag a release. Right now it's not packaging my last commit.
Anyone else having problems where messages sent from other people are not saving in the history log? it only shows the messages I sent out not recieved. It works fine for Realid friends but not just ones I add via add friend =/ thanks!
I have been experiencing the same issue Carman1998 posted about. WIM history is not storing the messages people send to me. It only records the messages I have sent out. I am not sure when this problem started, but I believe it started after patch 5.4.7 was downloaded. A fix for this would be very appreciated.
Having a problem with WIM where I go to and review my old messages. It only show the one I've sent out but can't see the ones that other people sent to me. Is there going to be a fix for this soon?
Currently, WIM isn't saving the messages of non-battletag people. It will save my messages in the conversation, but it doesn't save the messages of other people. Any help?
@mysticalos
i had posted a week or so ago some issues that is happening since the patch and i see that a few others are having same issue .. was this not fixed in this new update? is it going to be fixed anytime soon?
Im not sure if this is what does it but Its like the "intercept slash command" option isn't working anymore since patch 5.42
r394 or higher will now save all realid and battletag convos under users battletag instead of toonname. This should aggregate all conversations far more cleanly. When realid convo saving was originally added, blizz encoded player name and gave us no other way to save it but tooname. Now, it is possible to save it under btag so that should be much better.
