how come when ever i log out it resets my keybindings i made in /kb

I'm having problems with Yata as well. My bar scale is set to 0.7 and every time I level, it resets it position.

I have the same issue. Yata will reload constantly and unneccessarily...when I level, loot, learn a new recipe, zone in or out of an instance, etc etc. It then moves itself to a new position on my screen. I love Yata to death and will put up with it, but it's all sorts of annoying.

I had a similiar problem. Using a scale of 0.8, yata moves to an other position (not scaled?) every time i learn a new spell (i.e. it says "Reloading..." in the chat window). I fixed this somehow - originally i was only looking for where the problem might come from and just tried to change some code here and there. The changes that works, at least for me, is:

open \World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Yata\TotemBar.lua in a text editor and go to line 238/239
x = self.db.profile.BarPosition.x * scale
y = self.db.profile.BarPosition.y * scale
and remove the scaling
x = self.db.profile.BarPosition.x
y = self.db.profile.BarPosition.y

I couldnt get it to work this way - still resets them to the same position. I tried it with:
-closing wow
-editing TotemBar.lua/saving changes
-loading wow
-(position is reset again) put into different position
-exiting wow
-starting wow up again
-still in the default location.

When you unlock the frames now, the actual totem bar is just a blue box. I don't know if it is because my UI is shaped oddly, but I have a lot of trouble lining up the totem bar with my bartender bars.

Maybe I'm being OCD, but it's really bothering me that I can only line up the edges after lots of twitching it around. In the previous ver. when you unlocked the frames it left the bar alone, and made a box on the edge to move it around. I would much prefer that.

Otherwise, this is one of my favorite addons, I've been using it for.... A really long time, haha. At least over a year, more than that I'm sure. Thanks for all your hard work!

ACCOUNT HACKED AFTER INSTALLING YATA :( BE CAREFUL...

Your account was not compromised because of YATA. It's possible some sort of 3rd-party software was included in your download, but I find that unlikely. AddOns are not capable of stealing your password, becoming a virus, or anything like that. They are interpreted scripts.

Since i'm am not a programmer, how do i know there is no 3rd party sofwtare in the file ?? What should i look for to see if there's a spy inside?

As you're not a programmer, there's little point explaining to you what to look for, as you won't have the tools or knowledge to find it. However, the simplest way of explaining this is that if you can open and read the file in Notepad (like you can with all addons), there's 99.99% chance that it's not going to be capable of affecting or infecting your PC. Anything included with an addon that cannot be opened in Notepad is probably a graphics file, and still won't hurt your computer. Anything that's an EXE file and is included with your addon cannot be run without you clicking on it anyway, so it still can't hurt your computer unless you tell it to.

There's a hell of a lot more to it that that of course, but basically all the scripts used in Addons are being interpreted within WoW, and WoW is incapable of interpreting malicious code because Blizzard haven't included any potentially abusable commands.

LOVE this addon, but for the next release I would like to see if it's possible for you to change the way the addon handles whenever you have auto button-swap off. To clarify myself, not remove the option (in case it sounded like that) but to make it so that it temporarily changes the icon to the other totem that you chose out of the pop out menu instead of the main one shown. So that whenever the timer, use of Totemic Call, or dismissing the totem will switch the icon right back to the main one you have chosen in the button layout. Right now, with auto disabled, it keeps the same main icon even though a different totem is out and no timer (well there is the bar timer but not the button timer).

Sorry meant to say whenever the timer runs out.

I wonder if the guys who took over DisqoDice would consider taking over this addon as well? Anyone know how to get a hold of them to ask?

Installed this add-on as a sub for Totemus but afterwards each time i tired to log onto any character i got the WoW Error program thing + WoW crash if you fix this let me know was looking forward to useing Yata. Thanks.

Best totem addon out there, so simple yet perfect. It really is a shame no one takes this over.
