Skada Damage Meter
Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.
Features
- Midnight Optimized: Uses Blizzard's internal session data for performance and accuracy.
- Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
- Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
- Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
- LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
- Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.
Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.
Support
If you find Skada helpful, consider supporting its development through GitHub Sponsors.

Resizing works perfectly, except one thing (not critical, but...) - when do resizng title of window changed from current mode to just "Skada".
Window button "Reset" still not working.
And also not critical, just in case - menu item "Rreport" is displayed as an selectable option, width rounded square to the left of him.
Trying to report with no combat data - Message: Interface\AddOns\Skada\Skada.lua:565: attempt to index local 'report_set' (a nil value)

Posted Aug 5, 2011r329 build issues:
1. Same problem with window resizing - width of bars does not changing. Moreover - when i change some options (like font ot texture of bar's, etc) window width changed back - to previous value, but there is now no option to change it.
2. Reporting is ok now, but only by pressing new "Report" mini-button. When i select Report in menu - appears Report window with no buttons or texts and raises this error: "Message: Interface\AddOns\Skada\Menus.lua:394: attempt to index local 'window' (a nil value)"
3. Window button "Reset" does not work - even no highlighting when mouse ower. From menu it works as usually.

1. New icons (report, mode, segment etc) are a little pale and aligned to bootom of header, not center (http://savepic.ru/2922224.jpg).
2. New window size grip - changes width of window itself, but width of bars stays unchanged.
3. Pressing buttins in report window ("Report" or close window) raises this error - Message: Interface\AddOns\Skada\Menus.lua:377: attempt to index global 'mod' (a function value)

Posted Jul 31, 2011I have it set to not show up in battlegrounds. But it still does. If I click the button to show/hide during battlegrounds, it then disappears like it should. But I have to do this everytime I enter a battleground.
It doesn't stick to show last fight damage. Whenever I log out and back in, it defaults back to show all damage. I then have to change it to show last fight only.
I have Skada Window Buttons installed as well to make it look more like recount. Any chance this mod will be updated as it's over a year old now.

Posted Jul 30, 2011On abilities that deal an initial hit followed by a DoT or Hot (Immolate, Holy Fire, Regrowth, etc.), Skada tracks the crit ticks and ALL initial hits as crits, and the non-crit ticks as hits.
