Acherus Runes
Description
Acherus is a Death Knight addon providing displays for runes, procs, runic power, and diseases. A great effort has been put in to make all features customizable. Animations are provided to make it very easy to see when things become available and unavailable.

Usage
Slash Command
To open the configuration type /ac or /acherus, click on the minimap button, or use a Data Broker display that's compatible with launchers.

Translation Request
I currently need translators to help convert the English in the menus into the following languages:
- French
- Korean
- Latin American Spanish
- Russian
- Simplified Chinese
- Spanish
- Traditional Chinese
Go to the localization page if you'd like to translate. It's open to anyone with an account. Curse has a system setup so that phrases can be translated very fast and easily with no manual editing of files. Thanks!
FAQ
Acherus uses tons of memory / cpu!
This is just because it starts with "A" and is loading first in your setup, and getting blamed for all the resources used in shared libraries by all your addons. If you're concerned you can test by installing standalone versions of the libraries, especially Ace3. It's normal though; some addon always gets blamed for the shared libraries. It's not a real problem.
What was AcherusLoader?
AcherusLoader was a folder in older versions that helped the addon load only on Death Knight characters. Newer versions handle this differently. Now, if you forget to manually disable Acherus on a non-DK, it will disable itself. You can delete the old AcherusLoader folder if you still have it.

Posted Feb 22, 2017i've talk to one of the guys that works on this addon.. it will never be fix or updated its sad.. to bad one of the other Addon creaters out there wont pick this up since.. when i did ask the said it was cool if i found someone to work on it.. but like i said months ago ... this addon is dead and i really think dead addons should be removed from the site.. no point in keeping them around

Posted Aug 7, 2016yea no.. this addon is completely broken, patching it up is pointless need someone to take it over and repair it completely not just toss in bandaids here and there .. its broken and broken it will sit with errors all over .. its sad that this addon died since its was epic in style.. /tear

Posted Jul 20, 2016The prepatch just dropped (7.0.3), and this addon stopped working for me. Luckily, finding a workaround was pretty straightforward.
The problem seems to be that the GetRuneType function has been removed (which makes sense seeing as how there is only one rune type now). The fix then is to define a GetRuneType function. Open Runes.lua, and paste this on line 88:
function GetRuneType(slot)
return 4
end
After making that change and reloading, the addon should work again. I also changed the rune order to "Blood Unholy Frost" to make them sequential.

Open Acherus/Deseases.lua
Line 43: replace spellids below with the following ids:
59879, -- Blood Plague
59921, -- Frost Fever
81132, -- Scarlet Fever
Line 116: Comment the line (--) or delete it (the talent does not exist anymore):
--self:CountEpidemicPoints()
Line 109: maxtime = 30
Line 270: if maxtime ~= 30 then self:UpdateDiseaseBar () end
And fixed! It works great!

Posted Sep 18, 2013Is there any fix for the bright yellow bars? That section of the UI is greyed out, so I can't change the texture of the bars, and it's pretty glaringly bad.
Like everyone else here, this is my absolute favorite add-on for runes. I used it years ago, and when i re-upped I looked for it. I'm sad to see it's not being updated, but I hope someone who knows what they're doing can continue to provide fixes!

Posted Apr 6, 2013Does this addon have an icon to show when your pet is up? Pretty sure it did, i used to see a cd showing how long before my pet died. So i could time my pet sac if id not used it yet.
Just been rejigging my ui today, and it doenst seem to be there anymore

I SERIOUSLY hope this add on updates itself in the near future and continues running for a long time.

Posted Sep 6, 2012Any chance this is getting updated for 5.0.4 ? i have graphical problems where the texture around my bars which show me my runes comming off cooldown is a bright yellowish color , not cool to look at :/ Please update !!!! This is/was the best dk rune addon for pvp and pve around !
