Type /aio for the main menu or /cvar to open the CVar browser directly
I've been putting off removing the Status Text features because I know people are using them, but the way they're implemented taints the unit frames that they affect and causes the UI to block certain protected functions (like targeting) and throw a lua warning about it.
Taint can spread into seemingly unrelated areas of the UI and prevent other things from working correctly, so I've made the decision to remove this feature for now.
That being said, the previous version of the addon (the first one for 8.0) can be downloaded by clicking on the "Earlier Versions" tab on this page, and will still provide access to these functions if you want to revert to it.
I understand that it's inconvenient, but I don't want to leave such a popular addon in a state that may render portions of some user's interfaces unusable with little way to correct it for themselves.
I can't change any of the values of any of the options in the CVars list. Clicking on an item only brings up the tooltip explanation of the item. I can't change any of the settings.
Also, once the ability to change the settings are fixed, if I set playIntroMovie to 0, will that stop the playing of the intro movie every time I logout from one toon to switch to another?
One more: Blizzard keeps unsetting the "Load out-of-date add-ons" switch. Can this be forced on in this add-on?
As mentioned, this was being caused by the addon attempting to revert your cvar settings to what they were before the patch was released through the "Enforce Settings" option, and while technically working as intended, it shouldn't be saving cvars that represent things like "have you already watched the intro cinematic," causing it to mark it as unseen and replaying the clip every time you relog.
I have completely disabled the Enforce Settings option to mitigate the number of people affected by this.
"Fixing" this will likely require me to manually go through hundreds of cvars and marking which ones are safe for the addon to re-apply for you. I do not currently have an ETA for when this feature will be back.
Hi, is there any way to toggle back to the old character models in 8.0? There used to be a toggle in the regular interface but it seems they've removed it now. I checked the CVar browser and there is an "hdPlayerModels" option but when you set the value to 0 it doesn't change anything.
